Verizon and At&T both pissed me off. Im a cellular whore. This is my 6th cell phone and 4th company Ive been too. I try them all out.

I've had ATT service, good signal and coverage, but they weren't competitive at the time, so I switched.

Next was Verizon, their service just plain sucked. Constantly dropping calls, weak signal, but good customer services.

Currently via Sprint. Great signal, no roaming, but their customer service is absolutely horrible.

I guess it's the lesser of the evils....

I will never associate, buy, or anything dealing with Sprint ever again. All they do is piss you off by giving you the run-around, even when it's their fault something isn't working properly.

Sprint is definitely good at giving you the runaround, but they are the only service worth anything in MC, so I'm stuck.

I had Sprint for some time. Their service would drop out all the time. I called up their customer service and the on hold time would regularly be 3 hours. I tried to do it online, and they would tell me to call. Fantastic.
I eventually got fed up with it, especially when the woman on the other end told me "oh, we have no plans for ever upgrading the service in Boston" - that was like her saying "please stop your service today" - so I did.
The only thing I see going for them is false advertising about their 3G network and their color phones with games. Since I don't use my phone for data (beyond like sending 5 instant messages a month), and the games don't interest me - so Sprint sucks to me.

I had AT&T and never had any issues with them, but I cancelled over a matter of principle after they screwed me over on a cable bill. There was then a series of class action suits against them over fraudulant billing and they have since fixed the system. I wish part of the legal ruling was that I could go and beat the shit out of the bitch that insisted that I owed them $100+ and that they would be kind enough to lower it to only $30 that I owed them - when in reality I owed them nothing (they told me over and over again that I was clear in their books, and then would report me to a debt collector saying I owed them - it was retarded).
AT&T is switching to a GMS system in a few weeks.

Now I have VoiceStream - which is switching to T-Mobile and they have been great for me - they have been GMS for some time now.

I'm actually selling an 8860 if anyone wants it (works on the AT&T network).

I've had Sprint PCS for a couple of years now. My first phone was great, but it was big, so I switched to another phone, and it was a piece of shit. I found out after I changed that all Sprint phones will not receive a signal equally, despite what the sales reps will tell you.

I have a buddy who works for PCS, and he looks at the signal strength reports for me, so I know which phone to get. His recommendation to me was Samsung, Sanyo, or LG, and stay away from Kyocera.

Tips for dealing with PCS:

(1) Activate your phone online. It's cheap (or free, sometimes) and can be done in about 5 mins vs. the aggravation of doing it over the phone or in a store.

(2) If you have to call customer service, and you get Claire, yell and scream obscenities. Supposedly that gets you to a live person faster. I haven't tried that, but it's what I've been told.

I just switched to a Samsung flip phone, and it works great. No more dropped calls.

TheProject: I think you're right - I ended up getting irrate on a Sprint rep. after I had called for 2 days and got transferred approx. 30 times (not kidding) without someone to help me. After I did that I got transferred to someone that finally had answers.
BTW, it was 100% Sprint's mistake.

For the record: Sprint, although has poor customer service, does has the best service available when it comes to signal strength and clarity, plus some cool phones.
