yeah...Im still not able to get through to a close friend in brimfield which also got hit...the cell tower is down for his carrier and they still don't have power
Im toying with going for a ride that way this evening and see if he needs a hand with anything
nother friend of mine's father was driving home through springfield yesterday when it hit...he said there was an ambulance goin down the road on their PA advising everyone to get out of their cars immed. and to run for a structure; if the door was locked to break it down (terrible advice, hard to break down a door) and thats pretty much what everyone did
I got a phone call that a large cell was heading for us in ct and the local news advised everyone here to get into a safe place in thier house...
ironicly I loaded the kids and went for my house to sit in the wine cellar cuz the rental is made out of paper and balsawood (its not but its constructed like shit) and our house is really solid/wine cellar is three walls of 10" concrete pinned to ledge
nowhere near what the south gets nailed with but were totally not equipped to deal with even small tornados
