Spinning And Quads?

today i tried the spinning bike, just for the sake of doing it. I always thought it to be a muslce waster, but fuck it was so intense that i felt like doing leg extention. I mean, in 40 minutes you alternate peaks of resistence with resting time, and this seemed to me like doing several sets with weights, at the end i felt my legs really fatigued like after an intense workout. I'm wondering if anyone ever thought about using this technique to bild the quads and if there is any chance it could be effective.
 
Yep, I too have spun.

If that's not a leg workout, then I'm not a juiced up mofo. :D

Most guys can't take the intensity of a workout like that.
 
Yeah I love spinning have been taking spin class at my gym for the last five months. I think it helps out my strength in the long run.
 
So do you think it is possible to build size in the legs just by spinning hardly once a week?Maybe for a little while like 8-10 weeks?

I don't think I would use it for my base building exercise, there is no replacement for heavy squats/leg sleg/etc.

However, if you look at most of the elite level road/mountain/velodrome racers, they have powerful, muscular legs.

As for toning, cardio, and overall leg strength, the only thing that beats spinning is lining up and racing.
