Spider Man 2

Anyone else seen it?

Damn, that movie grabs your ass, beats it black and blue than hands it back on a silver platter. Easliy the best "superhero" movie ever made (Super..who?). Heck, it could have been 8 hours long and I wouldn't have cared at all.

If you've only seen the first one, the sequel is a step up. Way, way up. Performances were great all around, you can tell Rami pretty much had carte blanche to do whatever he wanted and it really paid off.

Watch for the elevator scence. Easliy the funniest scene in any moive from the past few years.

Dunno if there's been other threads (damn this new google-hybrid search engine), but feel free to post up your thoughts and opinions.

I agree with everything you said.

The elevator scene was classic.

Goes to show what a Pulitzer Prize winning author can do to a tired genre.

Iron Man is apparently on the way, finally... wonder if they understand what he's really about? He's been ripped off for not one but two TV shows (ExoMan and Mantis), both of which decided the lead character should be paralyzed when out of the armor. Talk about missing the point... they're like the people who would yell at someone for parking in the handicapped space, not realizing he got the permit because he has a heart problem.

One of the Iron Man editors posted a response in the letters page back around issue 20: "We think of Tony Stark as more Howard Hughes than Howard Roark." I'd do it the other way around, but at least that writer had the wit to make the comparison.

it's allright. I wouldn't say BEST (c'mon better than superman II?? puleeze!). But it was entertaining. I just can never get past that cartoonish spiderman in the streets thing though. It always bugs me every time. CGI just ain't realistic i'm sorry. At least in Superman II they were actually THROWING real fucking cars and people and shit around manhattan.

Well, I didnt like the first spiderman, so I'm hesitant to see this new one. The first one was pretty predictable and boring in my opinion. I kinda knew the movie's entire story and ending as soon as it started.

Hell yeah. I you, my best friend and I are in total agreement. Superman II is the best comic movie ever made. When you look at the quality of the movie, the plot, the movie following the comic book and having a comic book feel I don't see how you can pick any other movie. Now I didn't have a problem with the CGI because to make Spider-man in a movie work that's the only way you can do it. Plus the CGI was much better in this movie than in the 1st one.

But again as far as I am concerned Superman II was the best comic book movie ever but Spider-man 2 was very good and very entertaining.

Just like with X-men 2 people did get killed but there wasn't one drop of blood when there really really should have been but the the movie would've gotten an R rating I guess. I say it's kid safe.
