sperm and steroids

this may be a case of closing the stable doors after the horse has bolted, but:

Does anyone know how steroids affect sperm? Is their total suppression whilst on?

I have been silly enough to get a girl pregnant. Now I am going to stick by her whatever she decides, and I realise that we were both silly for not using contraception.. but I didn't worry when we did it because I thought the 12 week course of roids I had just finished 3 weeks prior to sex would still have meant total sperm suppression.

However, I was off steroids for a month when we were still having sex... I never came inside her.

I thought sperm needed months for recovery following a cycle?

I don't expect any answers to this.. but I am asking anyway.

I think it is unlikely that your sperm production while on AAS would dry up completely - instead it would be reduced but not eliminated.

You will still be producing semen when you ejaculate and that is going to contain some sperm no matter how much juice you are on.

I just assumed that because I had read one study where sperm suppresion was total on test - that my sperm would have been suppressed also.. I was unsure as to how long the suppression lasts also...

How do I get myself into these messes?

Steroids cause sperm suppression via FSH suppression.
This depends by the lenght of the cycle more than the dosage of aas.
6months of test @200mg/week cause a reduction in sperm activity of 70%

Thats probably because 90% of the test subjects got deca dick and couldnt perform in the sack

Yeah, it was just my early morning attempt at humor . Deca and tren are very antigonadatropic and shut you down hard so I believe it.
