In US , speedo is regarded as a gay itme, whereas in Europe it is Ok and still in fashion for the hetero crowd, although it is in decline.

It's...relaxing.

I also spend as much time naked as I can when not particularly busy.

If there wasn't law preventing nudity in public....

Speedos are for guys like bikinis are for girls. Simple counterparts. The same rules apply for both. If you look bad, please don't wear them. If you look good, go ahead.

Honestly, most guys aren't in good enough shape to look good in a pair of Speedos, and most girls should be in sweat suits, not t-backs.

Here's a thing to ponder. If gay men wear them to attract men, and if women are attracted to men, as well, then shouldn't it work for both? The goal for both target groups is to find an attractive male. The only times I have ever received any kind of negative comments regarding my Speedos were from guys who had some literally amazing visceral fat depositories. Girls have always been positive. My best friend gets the same response, and he's in different, but very good shape. He's more swimmer-like, to look at, and I (currently) am more like a very lean thrower, or something of that sort.

It's really about who is wearing it.

There's very little I take seriously here. It's a way to pass time, generally, and this helps me (rarely) see some fresh perspectives that I would not have otherwise considered.

I personally hate the current "in style" baggy ass swim trunks that hang down to my ankles and weigh 25 lbs. when wet. I'm also not comfortable wearing the typical speedo bikini. I've thought about getting the kind of speedo that is cut more like a pair of boxer briefs and covers down to the top of the thigh

I don't think most people actually mean homosexual when they say gay. I think people who wear speedos are gay, but i don't think they're necessarily homosexual.
