Speech Tommorow

I have another 1-2 min speech tommorow. Its on Advice for good study habits. I think I might skip this one. I can't figure a good introduction for study techniques

1 to 2 minute? Thats nothing. Just B.S. the obvious stuff. It'll be at least 2 minutes.

yeah but finding an intro sucks. I got a 5 min demonstration speech on Monday any ideas on that one? LOL I suck at trying to figure speechs out that I can say without feeling and looking like a total anus.

say something like "having trouble on those tests lately? Maybe what you are missing are the proper study habits." But in your own less concise words, but along those lines, then dive right into it, since its only 1-2 minutes.

My prof gave us those optional speeches too because our grades were so bad we needed extra credit. The main thing she judged us on was not the content, but the structure, hand gestures, eye contact, and fluid speech/voice modulation. The words are really the least important part.

Last speech she told me I needed a better Conclusion. Its about keeping the audience in tone. But I see what your saying, they do look for habits good/bad that you have while give the speech.

Well, I always thought I most of my best work was done in bed <pause>.. pulling all nighters studying for exams (You'll get a laugh, i.e. good intro), then you talk about how actually its not good to do homework in your bed... its much better to do it at your desk with proper posture and good lighting etc...

Whenever you give a speech think: Hitler

It's simply. Show no emotion, use plenty of hand gestures, and make a very strong aprouch. Your speech could totally suck, but that won't matter. You just need to capture the crowd. When I was in HS I was on the Speech and Debate team, I never once made a case or even studied my topic. I got up there and pulled total bullshit out of my ass, but I usually won. Even made a girl cry once on a rebuttal.

Thats a great idea. But I wouldn't be able to pull the joke off. I'd be to nervous and everyone would be wondering if I just made a joke or not.
