i cant stand spam, i dont even check my hotmail account anymore because ive had it since the beginning of the internet and its filled with spam. it got so bad i just left it alone.

if your computer sounds like its working when its just sitting idle its prob. being used to botnet spam... its hard to get rid of alot of these exploits because they are unknown to the virus programs and once they are the stud spammer has already written a diff exploit..

Spamming by itself shouldn't necessarily be illegal - but making armies of zombies via electronic tresspass should, without a doubt, be illegal.
Alot of 'spammers' now a days simply outsource all the nastyness and then claim innocence. THey only profit off the sale of the end product - and profit they do.
They have to pay heft fees to these russian organized criminals to get their spam out, but it's worth it to put the distance between themselves and the illegal stuff.

Incidently, an awesome book on this is: SPAM KINGS
It's crazy how smart and crafty some of these spammers were / are when it came to getting their messages out.
But when it came to handling social situations / handling the wealth they built / protecting themselves legally - they were complete fucking morons.
ALot of them get into dubious stuff too - like online pharmacies that pump out perscriptions without following guidlines and end up on hook for that shiat. Dumb Dumb Dumb...
You have to insulate yourself if you are going to do something that attracts the wrath of so much hatred.

Spam all you want, to me that's just sending out email - which unless there is a restraining order on you - I don't think tha should be illegal. However, the minute you steal my computer, my resources, my shit... that's illegal as fuck and should be.
