I have a new mantel. the old one had teacup hooks in it and I hung the stockings from that. I don't want to put hooks in this new one, so i was going to get those little things that sit on top like this:

has anyone used these? do they fall off the mantel once santa comes?

i saw the picture frame ones, but they were like $30 each and I need 6. ok, maybe they were $20, but still.
i got an assortment- a tree, a snowflake, a snowman, something i don't remember, 'joy', and 'peace'.
