soreness

tell me if im wrong here.....if your muscles arent sore a day or 2 after a workout does that mean uhavent had a good one..ive always thought that if they didnt hurt u didnt do a good job.. am i right or wrong? - lexus

I don't think by what I've seen from my personal experience that your muscles have to be sore in order to grow.
My arms, for example, get sore rarely but they've grown as much as all other bodyparts and probably more..
If you never get sore maybe you're not paying enough attention on eccentric part of the movement(lowering the weight). You must make sure that you lower the weight slowly rather then letting it drop.

Usually if I am not slightly sore after working out I take it that I didn't work out hard enough. I either up the intensity or change the routine all together. You muscles can get used to the same thing for a long time. It's good to change things up every now and then.
