Soreness for this long?

Last Sunday, I did my chest/tri routine, I never even did my regular routine with flat bench added in after I do my inclines, Im still sore, its been 4 days since, I have a cold right now too.

Do you think that slows down your bodys natural healing ability? I have been eating like a madman and drinking tonz and tonz of shakes while being sick, just so I dont loose any hard earned muscle., btw Im feeling better today, my nose is a lil stuffed, but thats about it. I want one more day off then Im ready to hit the gym tommaro for squats.

Ive been thinking it could be alergys too but i doubt it, but hell its going away, it only been a 2 day going on 3 c0ld.

Your body has an immune response to both infection/colds and exercise-induced muscle damage. In response to your question, yes, healing may occur at a rate a bit slower than normal.
