i think it was a great first episode. My instincts are telling me tony is going to do something very irrational (*more than normal) this season which is going to lead to his own downfall. HBO writers love incorporating the classic "tragic flaw leads to personal destruction" scenario into their hip ssri-laden shows.

I have found that some of the best episodes are the ones that the general public view as "boring". Those are usually the ones with the best story lines and where the plot develops best. IMO.

Chris and Paulie were talking about the Russian in the snow. Remember they were talking about Paulie loosing his show and his head flying off like a bad hair piece. In fact they never found out for sure if the guy died or not. I REALLY think that guy keeps getting foreshadowed and WILL be back. I think he is going to kill Paulie at a minimum and maybe get Chris too.
