and then I want another one. Should I put something like some oatmeal in there to make it more filling? Is it even remotely possible to fill the bottomless pit I call a stomach? I'm very hungry. help>?

Yeah, dont you get any carbs at all after your workout?
a oatmeal packet, you know those with different flavours, in your shake would certainly help a long way. youd get fiber and carbs and everything.

although, getting some faster carbs in there. and then eat a solid meal 60 minutes later is also a good idea.

wow, that's must be a very frightening thing for lumberg to hear!

you can put oatmeal, but you should be having a full meal about an hour after your workout anyway right?

bros I just ate some pasta - plain elbow macs with romano cheese. I'm nice and full now. I should be satiated for a good 15 minutes or so.

We have pure dextrose at home in a big tub that I could throw into the PW protein shake if needed but i dont know how old it is (at least 2 yrs). Does that stuff spoil? Will it ruin the taste of my yummy shake? BTW 50g of protein in the shake and 3g of glutamine for awesome glutes.

dont judge me!

OMG pasta :(

Protien shakes are never enough for me I have a meal right after which lately has be 4 oz x lean beef.

For me, carbs (usually a couple of hard pretzels or something) w/in 45 minutes, protien (protien shake, 80 to 100 grams) w/in 90 minutes, followed by a meal (usually lean meat and green veggies).

LOL @ glutamine for glutes. I gotta go get some of that, then.

what do you guys think about me putting a fat free yummy flavored yogurt in the protein shake? there's def sugar and carbs in the yogurt but no fat. or am i heading in the wrong direction? my goal is to continue to be totally awesomer than jackangel. how'm I doin'?

seriously I havent had any regular protein shakes in a year or so. i dont even eat a lot of protein so this is new for me. if i get 100g of protein in a day, thaty's a rareity.

I have that a lot. I just put a scoop of protein in some low fat vanilla yogurt. Fat free has a nasty texture.

Then put it in the shake. It'll blend just fine.

Here is a common morning shake for me..very filling!

2/3 Cup milk isolate powder
1/3 cup oatbran
1 apple
1 cup frozen broccoli

If this doesn't fill you up than add a cup of blueberries.... :coffee:

You'd be able to cut the sulphur cloud I'd trail around with a knife if I drank that.

It doesn't taste like chocolate cake but it's about a quick and healthy meal. I hate veggies and it's the best way for me to get at least three servings a day. :coffee:

nothing. this is 5am and mostly i am doing cardio, but a few days a week I am also lifting.
Try sipping on a gatorade type drink with a scoop of whey isolate added during your workout. :coffee:

I tried that a few times but it always made me want  I need to eat like an hour before only thing that I can drink is water when working out.

Well....sipping on a drink DURING cardio isnt a great idea imo

Scoop of Whey in Skim milk is my early pre cardio/workout breakfast.

I've gotta have something to eat prior to cadio or I lose it about 1/2 way thru.

I know that's not best, but I figured if I complete it, thats gotta be better
vs not getting it all done due to me losing energy/glucose.

Smurfy, here is what you do. Take a half cup of plain oats and put them in a coffee bean grinder, grind them to dust. Then add to your shake, this way you're getting some complex carbs with your protein. Or even throw in a bannana and like I said before, some fat free peanut butter. Fat free yogurt is good as well, sometimes I do this to break the monotony.

I also have a great tuna shake recipe if you're interested :)

yeah I probably will go with the yogurt for now in the PW shake b/c I have 10 yogurts in the fridge but i also like the oatmeal idea as well.

thanks guys

You really need to keep it under a 10% concentration, it actually absorbs more quickly than water.
