Something is Happening With My Training!!

OK folks. . sorry to post multiple threads, but I didn't follow the workout that I posted earlier. Here is what I followed:

1. Standing Barbell Push Presses - 4 x 5
2. Sumo Style Deadlifts - 6 x 5
3. Supported T-Bar Rows - 2 x 10
4. Reverse Grip Pull-Downs - 2 x 10
5. JM Presses - 3 x 8
6. Dumbbell Cleans - 2 x 20

I DISCOVERED A NEW DEADLIFT TECHNIQUE!!! Drum roll please. . . .

Sumo style with a mixed grip (without straps!!!).

I think I will be able to hit a 600lb deadlift in the near future with this technique.

I HAVE UNDERESTIMATED MY GRIP ALL THIS TIME!! The extra forearm work has paid off!

Although I didn't train all that heavy tonight (425lbs) I was learning to get the feel and it instantly grew on me. . it was totally unbelievable!!! I can't wait to deadlift like this again.

For extra grip work. . . I held 315lbs in my mix grip position for 2 minutes straight. . my grip didn't even give out!

Looks like my training program is about to transform tremendously. I am now looking at training everything twice a week using 4 days per week training.

The new training split will involve all bar movements. . . anything to pack on additional size and strength. Seems like more and more I am training like a powerlifter.

I have been working out with my friend George from Bulgaria (he and I share similar thoughts). . he practices WSB. Plus, I stay in touch with you guys. . and my training has never been the same.

Anyway, I don't know where this thread is going, but I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their ideas!

It is a miracle that I found something that found natural.:fro:

Rev,

my top set was at 425lbs. . .I am trying to get the feel of the new stance and I am letting my grip take over without the use of straps. Here is how I prepared:

135lbs x 5, 225lbs x 5, 315lbs x 5, 365lbs x 5, 405lbs x 5, 425lbs x 5

I plan to really work with sumo deadlifts and overhead presses like crazy twice a week!!

I am also squatting like crazy.

I will redesign my training program today. It will involve low volume, but will comprise of all barbell movents (except for chins and dips).

interesting............. i wanna see what your program looks like, make sure to post i up bud.

good stuff loudin

if deadlifting and overhead pressing 2x a week would make me as strong as you and my biceps as big as my head i would do it too lol

I'm still curious as to why he's switching it up to training bodyparts 2x a week - trying something new Louden? Confident that will yield greater/quicker results?

ever think about competing?

Jeremy. . .

I think if I worked for a while I could boast some respectable numbers (in the squat and dead), as for bench press, my entire technique needs work.

Who knows??

Legion. .

I will keep you posted. I am planning to post a new routine sometime today. I will tell you this. . .volume will be relatively low and it will revolve around heavy basic movments.

When I post a possible program. . .I will share it with everyone. . and I will look for suggestions.

I am still trying to figure out how I will work with squats, deads, and good mornings in this program. These movements are essential in my training.

Mule1 you freak. . . ;)

You are way out of my league. . .maybe I need to attend one of your seminars to pick up some training edu-mah-cation.

Keep boasting scary numbers for us.

Well, I have been working on a few things and I have decided that a one on one off program works best. I will be able to train muscle groups a couple times of week in alternation.

I am trying to seperate my squat workouts from my deadlift and good morning workouts. Looks like my lower back will receive plenty of training. . .lol.

Feel free to send some suggestions on how I can organize squat, good morning, and deadlift workouts.

Not me bro. I think your a good guy, but you'll never convert me to the darkside! I like my low carb diet, being able to see my abes every now and then, and wrist straps for deadlifts!

actually, if i'm not mistaken, MULE follows a fairly low carb diet as well as another freak, mike ruggeria.

Thanks for pointing that out bro. Several of us use low carb diets for bulking and we are constantly being told how stupid we are for this, and that we couldn't possibly get big or strong by doing so, despite the well-known massive and strong freaks out there who do the same same. I was unaware of what type of nutrition program Mule follows.
