Someone Please Test COMPOSITION ON's Whey Protein + Is it a SCAM?!

Hi Guys,
In the "Which Company do you Despise the Most" thread, this dude mentioned that Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey Protein Gold Standard only contains aroundm 8g of Protein per serving, as opposed to 24 (or 23g even).

I am really concerned, and I know that many ppl in this board choose ON's Whey Protein.

Thus, I am asking anyone who has access to a food lab, to test it and post the results, in benefit of the whole board.
I am personally seeking out a lab here in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which would do such test (I believe an HPLC would work).

HELP, for I am scared

Alex,
Your link simply shows protein content, not type of protein.
That what bothers me... a guy here claimed that oly 8g of the total 23g of protein actually had any biological value... the rest was like gelatin
Scary isn't it :(

Did a bunch of google searches and couldn't find anything else. There's a website that you might want to check out if you're interested. I think they might have some detailed information on optimum and other brands as well.

http://www.consumerlab.com/results/nutdrinks.asp

I wouldn't sweat it though. Lots of people use optimum and have seen great results with regards to recovery and energy levels.

That guy was probably working with a company that goes against ON. Trying to steal some business. Don't worry about it.

Put 3 scoops if you dont believe the label.

I've heard sketchy things bout ON's stuff from many people in this industry. I dunno, I guess it's just your call.

Please elaborate, Im sure it would do alot of us good to know this information if possible.

i've used ON for a while now.....and i have always wondered why it's $17.99 at the biggest rip off place in the world....GNC. this is disconcerning....to be quite honest i've had better results with other proteins in the past.....MHP has great products....but unfortunately they are more than double the price so it gets too expensive with how many shakes i drink during the week..... pretty much the only reason why i use ON.....

I have always been curious how people can "tell" that they get better results with one protein shake vs another. They are not food subsitutes, just supplements. If you drink more than one or two per day you are really shortchanging yourself. Im all for having one or two a day if you are busy, but I dont think you should be able to tell any differences other than their taste or your gassiness.

2 of my 8 meals a day are shakes....it's very easy to tell what works best for you if you know your body. i know for a fact that when i'm taking ON i really don't notice much of a difference in workouts or muscles appearence ....this is during my cutting phase.....i notice i don't lose as much muscle with the probolic as i do with ON....when i take probolic for a few weeks my muscles are def fuller and rounder....it's a little difference that most peopel wouldn't be able to tell....but i can

I would question first, who's "the guy?"....and does he back up his assertion with any creidble information?
