Some Windows Media Player MPEG problems

So.. All of a sudden my windows media player is WACK.. It will play and MPEG for about ... 10-15 seconds and then just turn black.. It keeps playing and the you can hear the sound.. I have been back and forth with this tech woman from india or something She had me download those divx which made it work.. Worked fine for a few days now all of a sudden its doing the same thing again!!! I have been using DIVX but I prefer WIN media player.. Can anyone help me out??

See if this helps. I hate divx because it act so damn crazy depending on what movie you come across it it bumps head with xvid. FFDDShow is a decoder that works well with both.

Fix that and everything will go much smoother.

try getting a standalone player

anything that piggybacks off windows will be susceptable to the same bug
