Some Questions

Hello! I am 16 years old, about 5'4 (I think), and I weigh just about 130 pounds. Of course I want to be bigger. The only thing I have to use for lifting is a set of dumbbells, and the floor to do situps and pushups! I was wondering if anyone here could give me some kind of good weekly routine with what I've got. I also would like to know...
-Is it possible to over train even if you're not sore?
-In what ways do you change your routine when your body adapts?

Since I've been doing my own little routines (Curls, Pushups, Situps, Arnold Press, and some thing where I have my arms straight by my side with the dumbbells in my hands, and just lift with my shoulders), I've seen some results, and I know it's not just me thinking there are results, because people have told me I looked bigger when they didn't know about me. I've gained about 7 pounds. Im also taking Mass XXX.

Tell me what you know! Thanks alot.

I guess ill try to get started with a response.

Sounds quite good so far. Maybe add a few more leg workouts into that-lunges, squats..
I would highly suggest getting a barbell, and loading some weight onto that. From there you can do more exercises- floor presses, barbell curls, squats and deadlifts.
Looks like your targeting mostly upper-body. Dont neglect your legs- they are what keep you moving and supply quite possibly the most power into your lifts (to your body in total).

There are theories that "there is no such thing as over-training". All you have to really do is about 45 minutes of a workout a day, max, and you can cover what you need to. You dont necessarily need to be sore to get a good workout (although im sure you have been sore from a tough workout). If you do more than you should, this means you have ripped your muscles more than desired, so you need more time for recovery, which conflicts with your next workout.

Changing your routine can shift from totally changing your exercises, to changing it to a cardio workout for a bit, to bulking, or to simply try to lift more.

In order to get the best advice from everyone, answer these questions foremost:
1) What are your goals as per lifting? Get bigger, be stronger, look like a super-model, training for football?..
2) Where are your lifts right now and what range of weights do you have so as to compile a workout?

I'll look into getting a barbell, but I dont have too much money at the moment, and what I do have goes towards my other hobby.

Alright, so if I do 3 sets of curls in a day, where on each set I'm doing them until I can do no more...But I'm still not sore, do you think I should lay off of that sort of excersise the next day?

My goals are pretty much just to be bigger. Strength isn't really that important to me. I don't play any sports, although I would play football if I were big and strong...But football isn't what I'm shooting for.
The dumbbells I use are just a 30 pound set. Every excersise I do, I always do it until I cant go any longer (is that a bad idea?). I don't keep count, but I will next time.

i don't think you'll get monsterest big off 30lbs dumbells but you will get strong and some muscle.you need to go up in weight to get bigger.you don't have a high school weight room? you can go to bodybuilding.com,they got tons of exercises in there and videos to show how to do them right.i'd pick a few upper and lower body movments out and do them 3 or 4 times a week.
