Never once have I heard anyone mention the side effect that ultimately got dnp pulled from the market as a weight loss aid in the 30's . DNP may eventually causes cataracts. Even if you have successfully used dnp and not died from hypothermia, you are at risk of developing cataracts from the use of this product in the future. I would suggest to anyone who has used this to see an opthamologist on a regular basis and be very careful with your use of dnp. For more information including the risk of cataracts see the Agency of Toxic Substance and Disease Registry (they are part of the CDC) website at www.atsdr.cdc.gov and go to the toxicological profiles and search for Dinitrophenols. There is some brief info in the toxfaqs for this chemical but the most information is from the entire toxicological profile, which is available in pdf format.

If you had been on longer, you would have already seen this info posted, as well as the reason why this was a specious reason to have it pulled.
Women had a higher incidence of cataracts who did NOT take dnp than who did. Go figger.
Your government just wants to keep you safe. Now if they can only find a way to keep you inside your home at all times, they will be much happier.

Quit lurking and start searching. Type in DNP and cataracts and you'll find that this issue has been discussed numerous times.
I am also a lurker who HAS been reading about DNP and not just shooting my mouth off about shit I have no clue about.
Didn't anyone notice his second side of DNP "hypothermia"
learn to use that fancy blue search button and really begin to learn something about DNP. The Cataracts in WOMEN only was
talked about looong ago.
There are supps you take for that now that where not even thunked of back in the good old 30's
The reason it's no longer available is because it's to effective, and to many stupid people had access to it.
