Some Mexicans are really gross

Went to look at a house yesterday. Planning on buying a 2-3 family with 2 partners. We went to see a house in a very nice section of New Jersey and from the moment we walked in I was repulsed. First, it smelled like cat piss. The odor was so strong I dry heaved and my other buddy said he was so close to puking. Basically the "living room" if you could call it that was a younger guy with some little mexican kids running around. Folding chairs and a small TV no couch or anything. The kitchen was disgusting with dirty ass dishes and splatters all over.

Went down the basement and it smelled like there was a dead carcass down there. There were just mattressed strewn about no sheets or anything. Went upstairs and knocked on one door and I think this guy was trying to bang this mexican broad. Room was also nasty.

We were going to look at the second unit but the RE agent said she smelled a gas leak so we shot the f out of there. All in all it was absolutely horrific. As we stood outside talking to the agent about another 3 mexicans rode up on their bike. If I had to quantify the tenants living in the first unit alone it was probably 12 or so. In a 3 bedroom with one full bath.

Nasty.
 
I used to buy homes in the ghetto for pennies and flip them after my buddies and I would renovate them ourselves. Dude....Some of the stories I could tell you would make you puke.....Some of these homes had SO MANY cockroaches that they would cover the whole floor and walls....Once I went into a basement of a home and there was not a square inch of floor that didnt have a dog turd on it. Almost every house had no doors (keep in mind this is all done in 1 year or less) most were devoid of any pipes (they sell the copper for crack). The bathrooms? Dude I swear you would be better off taking a shit in the trash filled back yard. One time we saw a patch on a bedroom floor that was black and smelled like shit.....and on the windows of the room baby shit was caked all over the window sill and the trim....when we looked out of the windo there was a pile of dirty diapers about 5 feet high under the window, The mother was appearently changing them on the floor where the black spot was and just pitching the diapers out the windo from there....Obviously lotsa rim shots....not many swishes. I could go on all day....

Yea...now I have a huge predicament. I just saw a house in a fairly upscale town. This house was immaculate. Wood floors, central air, finished basement and attic, 2 full baths, huge backyard, huge driveway. But... its on the same block as a bball court and a liquor store and there were some ghetto thugs out drinking 40s. I mean, it is definitely a well kept neighborhood. I'd say middle-class block with mostly black/hispanic. I'm not so worried about my safety as I am for the property value etc. The taxes are low for the town and by the price that the house is listed I have a feeling he's having a hard time selling it. What do to do what to do?

I suddenly feel very good about myself. I am nowhere near that nasty. I just have a lot of clutter.

I am a realtor. I know the situation your talking about. If the seller is having a hard time selling it, there's a reason. Have your agent call the sellers agent and find out why. You don't want some one elses problems. (people drinking in public and the bb ball court) Have your agent run comps for you to see what or if anything has sold recently on that block.

hey Bloodinbloodout - make sure you drive through the neighborhoods (you are thinking of buying in) at different times during the day. What could look like a nice block at 3 in the afternoon could actually be a shooting gallery at 9 at night.

As for that first house with the mexicans...... I'll bet you a months salary they are illegal aliens. There are some communities waking up and passing laws that make it illegal to rent to illegals !!
 
I have no doubt in my mind that they were illegals and even considered informing the authorities. But...alas I figure it is not my business and I don't want to tear a family apart. There are kids there. But yea, it really was sickening.

As for the neighborhood, I am researching it now and it doesn't seem so great. There actually was a shooting a couple of blocks from where the house is a few weeks ago, and apparently this town is having problems with the influx of illegals (rapes, assaults etc.)

yeah, I heard these mexicans will use a drinking glass for 3 or 4 days without washing it dude!!!

That is just a stereotype. You base what you think about Mexicans because of some of the very poor illegal aliens over here. My best friend is from Mexico City, and she and her family and friends in Mexico are very normal and clean. I've heard the same things said about southern whites and black people in general. All are stereotypes. There are both clean and dirty people of all nationalities and races.
 
i think it has more to do with being poor than it does with being mexican
 
Stereotypes yes, but that is because it is the way it is, at least around where I live.

I grew up in the farming community. Farmers will hire lots of Mexicans (not sure if they are illegal or not) to do the farm work at dirt cheap prices. The farmers give them a 2 bedroom run-down house to live in. It is not uncommon to see 20-25 mexicans living in one 2 bedroom tiny house.

That alone will create a messy environment. Add in that the Mexicans do not really take care of it and what you have is a dump.

When I first moved in there was a house like I described near my house. I do not have any idea how many lived there but there was certainly more than 10. A developer eventually bought the house and tore it down. He said there was sewer in the basement, amongst other nasty things. There were also matresses in that same basement on which they slept.

The ironic thing is that they all had really nice cars. One even had an Escillade.
 
this is what happens when 25 live in one home. How else can they afford to live on $8/hr??

honestly - u really want to live in a barrio? most of these homes are in shitty areas. Well, weren't shitty til the mexicans moved in and took over. They're the only affordable homes in la now.

Um...no. I'm not basing it on a stereotype. I'm basing it on being in a house with dirty ass mexicans and piss everywhere. I saw it with my own eyes. And notice how I worded it with SOME. Secondly, I've looked at over 40 properties and have not seen anyone else that lived like this. So based on my primary sources (being that they were seen first hand by yours truly) I can pretty much say that based on my observations that some mexicans are nasty.
