That you can find boots and cowboy hats and hot lookin women wearing them in TEXAS. I mean chicks wearing cowboy hats, boots and nothing else can't be beat. Plus we have an ocean, friendly people, the quadulupe river, Austin, killer lakes and me and other cool poster here. How can you not like Texas? Plus we have history and culture in this state that blows away the rest of the states. So come on wodie how can you say you hate TEXAS when you know you love us. :D

i used to love visiting dallas when i lived in austin, but i always heard it was a real shithole to live in.

or maybe that was houston

I was being sarcastic. Our nation was born there. Both have good and bad qualities. I can't stand how crowded it is back east anymore. Texas food = :p . Texas women = :p :p :p

Oh and one very, very sailent point that you should pound through that thick skull of yours. Without Texas there would still be a united states of America. Without MASSACHUSETTS and that little Tea Party their wouldn't be a United States for you to get all pumped up with false bravado over. You Pecker wood, cracker.

In all fairness, the Boston Tea Party was held long before Texas existed. This explains why Texans were unable to help out in the harbor. I don't believe anyone from Massachusetts was at the Alamo, but I could be wrong. There would still be an America without Texas, but it would be MUCH smaller. I'm not a Texan, but I would take Texas over Massachusetts any day.

He was a doctor and lived in New York before traveling to Texas by way of New Orleans in 1835 as a member of Capt. Thomas H. Breece'sqv company of New Orleans Greys.qv He took part in the siege of Bexarqv and later served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. William Blazeby'sqv infantry company. Howell died in the battle of the Alamoqv on March 6, 1836.

LINN, WILLIAM (?-1836). William Linn, Alamo defender, was at one time a resident of Boston, Massachusetts. He traveled to Texas from New Orleans as a member of Capt. Thomas H. Breece'sqv company of New Orleans Greys,qv took part in the siege of Bexar,qv and is listed on the roster of Lt. Col. James C. Neill'sqv Bexar garrison as having been taken prisoner. It is possible that Neill wrote this list earlier than February 1836 and that Linn had been taken prisoner during the siege of Bexar and then released after the Mexican capitulation.

Also. Only 5.9% of the fighters at the Almao were from Texas.

Also. Texas Comprises only 1.73% of the sq mile area of the United States. (268,601 / 15,509.530 )

So without Texas America wouldn't be MUCH smaller, just a little bit.
