I'm not Catholic, but as far as I know the Catechism of the Catholic Church does not state that. The Church states many things as sexually immoral that I don't agree with but I don't think they state that.

Google Catechism of the Catholic church. I did google and find some stuff (mostly from anti-religious, new atheist style websites...) but there is a lot of weird shit I can find googling...that's why I asked someone to post it...(I'm not trying to be disagreeable) I don't think following the actual statements of the Catholic Church is being a progressive Catholic. You're acting like The Church officially states sexual positions as immoral and that only progressives would dismiss it.

There is no spokesperson for Islam...completely decentralized. Catholicism is completely different, when the Pope states that AIDS is a horrible blight on Africa but condoms are worse, he speaks for the Catholic faith.

You just keep dodging and rambling over this.

Figure it out: Catholics don't demand missionary-only sex. That is not their doctrine. It's not that hard of a concept. You've got a sometimes cute and sometimes annoying little personal war with religion in your head. But once again: Catholics accept positions other than missionary.
 
When you google St. Augustine and his influence over church doctrine it's all there....of course no matter what website you post plunky will snark it, even if they're reprinting research from someone else.

not by the rigor of any one website, this is "yet again" another plain case of do your own search on St. Augustine. The writings of St. Augustine are there for anyone to see, this isn't somenoe from some website taking anything out of context. The only debate is how much St. Augustine had influence over the modern church. The claim i made all along was that there are various sects of catholicism which are "extremely" fundamental and St. Augustine is one of their pre vatican 2 heroes. What was cited in that cyberwhatever website is correct, that during the time of the inquisition...you have heard of that one at least right Brian? During the time of the inquisition people were tortured and put to death for what were described as sins of the flesh...and yes that could at times include things that happened betweenn heterosexual couples....like the woman being on top or some other sexual position not deemed pious enough by the church at the time. Obviously today "most" catholics are not this fundamental....I am making the case that Rick Santorum though is one of those people that seems to lean to the old ways of St. Augustine going off his comments about that there really is no right to privacy and that the govt. can AND SHOULD regulate personal behavior even when it happens in one owns bedroom. These quotes are free for anyone to research...it takes about 5 seconds to find quotes of Rick Santorum that will make you angry.

So again, i kind of feel like an ass seeing as this one was called this morning but now it's completely official. It's done. And you can post away about cybercollege plunkey it doesn't matter....I win.

That's the fundamental problem here. This isn't an "argument". It's a fact check, and you are coming-up short on facts.

Besides, you don't go for your certificate of completion in "arguments" until next year.
 
So the guy has to outright say he'd regulate sexual positions even though it's in his religious doctrine and he is directly quoted in a USAToday interview that he would regulate sexual activities inside a heterosexual union..?
