So who checked out Tomb Raider?

I haven't seen it yet, but I will regardless of good or bad reviews. I've got nothing better to do this weekend. Plus, it's a big summer movie. I can't pass any of those up. It's the movie buff in me taking control, feeding Hollywood's production of the good and the not so good...well, ok, the crap.

The movie sucked! Jolie looked gorgeous, but the movie was just horrible. Most of the action sequences were shown in the commercials. The flick got too much hype, and that killed it for me. Just seemed too overdone.

I saw it a couple weeks ago (perk of my job), and I thought it totally sucked ass. Simon West is a complete joke of a director. How anyone can srew up a movie with an $80 million dollar budget is beyond me...although it does seem to happen quite often (ie: Pearl Harbor, Phantom Menace). Jesus, give me $80 mil. and I'll make the greatest fucking movie of all time. It would win evey goddamn award in Hollywood.

One movie I hight recomend is "Momento". I finally had the chance to see it last night, and it totally blew me away. Now, I'm a huuuuuge film buff...and Momento is the best movie I've seen in a long time. It's films like this (or 6th Sense, Being John Malkovich, and a few others) that make sitting through all the other shit Hollywood spews out worthwhile.

My Tomb Raider review: 2/5 (and only because of Mrs. Jolie's prosthetic breasts, which creepily changed size several times during the film). Skip it and see Momento instead.
