So what's the best champagne?

The stuff I drink is like champagne but just not made in champagne so it's considered a sparkling white. It is called prosecco by mionetti I believe and it's awesome and usually like 15 a bottle.

I agree, Veuve Clicquot is perfection.

I have some Veuve and while I think its nice I don't understand the hype on it.

piper is a more drinkable champagne, but for the buck, veuve is a bargain... it's the cheapest champagne that doesn't taste like burnt rubber lol

How one can call any beverage that is about 50$ per bottle *cheap* is beyond me. It is inexpensive comparitively to a lot of the outrageously overpriced, overhyped GARBAGE out there. Veuve IMO is the best champagne for the price. The quality is wonderful and a bottle or two won't break the bank.
