im not one to preech, but IMO if you can financially handle it of course, bailing on the kiddo would make you wonder "what if" for the rest of your life...

this will be your first kid, correct? god, if there is a god, is a cruel and unusual one. this is your shot. there may not be another one.

She just called me totally panicked. I was pretty much speechless and my mind started racing. She was on her way back to work and I'm in the middle of a few things and couldn't really talk.

I wouldn't ever bail on my child. It's just that the timing on this couldn't be worse. My industry is in shambles, I thought her and I were kind of on the outs, it seems like everything's happening at once.
