WTF does that even mean lol. Sounds like he's fucked. Two are felonies. They let him out on $5,000 bail. How fucked is he?!?!?!?!?!

I mean wow.

Damn... what did he do.

I've testified in felony computer tresspass cases, data theft cases...not sure what 'First Degree Computer Crime' is though... what is he being accused of in layman's terms?

I don't have the slightest idea. I read it in the paper. I don't even know wtf they are. But it sounds like he is fucked. I bet he used some computer to steal cash or credit cards or something somehow. How long is he going to jail is the question.

He won't go to prison if this is his first offense. He will getg First Offender status and just probation, small fine.

I mean, it can't be serious if bail was only $5000

For two class b felonies and a misdemeanor? Wow, thats lenient. Is that normal?

Bail isn't normally set high for non violent cases... first offender.... and if you have a family it's set even lower in most cases....

There are some 'flight risk' calculations they use...

Doesn't necessarily mean it's not serious.

This is seriously titilating. How do I find out more?

is there any way you can look up details of a case?

All depends on the court and if they are online. The details you're looking for are prolly in the police report which in all likelyhood is not online...

How do you obtain said police report. Need I hire a low-priced gumshoe?

You'd have to go to the law enforcement agency that took the report and fill out some paperwork and pay a fee to get a copy.

You might be able to look up the 'Charges' and the petition online. But if he was just arrested it may not be in the 'system yet.

But the petitions are generally all legalese and don't necessarily delve into the details of the allegations other than high level generalities...

I guess it didn't show up. Give it a few weeks to a month. Alot of times before someone is charged they seal the records / indictment so that there is no 'heads up' ....

So it wouldn't be in the system just yet....

I'd imagine even one it is though, you won't be able to see a whole lot online other that an overview of the charges, docket entries, disposition, etc.

i couldnt find anything listed yet.

it sounds serious though. i googled the larceny and it said "theft over $10,000" the computer crime one is a class b felonius but it doesnt describe what the crime is. this is crazy shit, hes been my boy forever.

he is a perpetual fuckup though...

Well he's lucky it's all state level stuff, the feds are hard asses about you doing time. Since it's all non-violent and if he has a clean record prior to this, he may get away with probation... who knows.

stiff charges, but he'll do less time than Michael Vick if guilty.

They're the law chicks. They'd have knowledge or a better intuitive idea than us plebes.

I can't answer what he did and what the sentence potentially carries because I don't know if we are talking about federal or state charges or what state he is even in.

You could get a copy of the indictments, but that doesn't give too much info. All the juicy details are in the police report.

Yeah, well, each state varies as to the elements of their crimes and what they call them. I would have to look it up for his particular state, if I knew what state he was even in.

Plus, he's kind of being a dick so I don't feel like doing any research for him...LOL.

if hes in Texas he will get death, if hes in massholechewsetts he will get a slap on the wrist since that state cares fuck-all about crime.

if he gets a good lawyer hes cool, in 2004 i had 7 felonies and 5k bail And got off with just PTI, also bc the cops in my town are fucking douchebags who couldnt catch a cold

They caught you. What's that say about you?

well, it says that when one person gets arrested and lies to the cops twice and gets caught both times, they can STILL arrest more people whose name he drops on hearsay alone, then raid your house and come up with absolutely nothing and look like fucking morons in the process, which is exactly what happened....the only reason i even have PTI is for something else they found in my house completely unrleated to what they were looking for or else id be 100% off of everything

interesting he got caught its like pretty much near impossible to get caught doing that shit..

you can steal someone's cc buy thousands and thousands of dollars worth of shit have it all shipped to your house and your chances of getting caught are still very slim.

lohan got charged with a felony. and they dropped it.

tell him to try to get the da to get it dropped. helps to be a celebrity tho :)

Stealing a laptop is a felony due to the value, though a first time offender will likely get probation for that. Consider a company laptop could be claimed to have a value $5,000 or more with data.

That's whats fucking up college football players. A few have been busted for breaking in and theft....leave the laptop, idiots. That's what gets you.
