So i've been thinking about a new tat....

had this one on my mind for years.

i'm not the type to get a tat just to get a tat. both my tats mean something and i thought about for along time before getting them.

but..i think it's time to pull the trigger.

basically, my idea is to get "The World Is Yours" tatted across my upper back/traps and then under it a hand palming a globe...i thought about the Scarface statue, but that might be too cliche? no, i'm not one of those scarface worshippers...but it popped in my head

The world is yours has been my motto since i was younger.. when I started to develop into the person i am. always kept me going no matter what and is basically the way i try to live life.

i think it'd look badass, especially b/c i have big traps

Forget about the scarface statue. Def get the world is yours with the hand and globe. That would be a tight tat. Post pics if/when you get it.
 
dude imo, that shit would be way to cliche and I can't even imagine how many people have that phrase tatted on em... I mean seriously, if I seen a dude on the beach with that phrase written on him I would be on the ground rolling and most likely yellin out to him scarface lines to him as he walks by.

hrmm...yeah, i feel where you're coming from.

all the dumb rappers and shit made it too mainstream. but it still has value to me, and i dont really get caught up in that shit.

it wouldn't be so massive it would cover my entire back.

i tend to pull crazy shit off, so we'll see.

This may sound kind of cheesy. Just throwing it out there. Maybe put the phrase in another language? Or just a sick ass design, that detracts from the idea of it being from Scarface. That way you get to rock your motto, and don't have to worry about people just assuming you're a fanatic of the movie? lol

it's for my grandfather, i brought the tattoo artist some items and ideas and he's sketching it up, can't wait

Excellent. Best reason i can think of to get a tattoo is to honor family members, but that's just me.

I'm getting a tattoo for my grama. (my back) I want to put a lot more thought into that one first though.
 
i think im gonna do it without the phrase

maybe just something going across my upper back like maybe as part of the design. same shit, without being cheesy

to avoid what borris said (although in an ideal world haters would get cancer so they would be too worried witht hemselves to bring others down), try having the globe as the main part of the tatoo and creativly have "world is mine" someplace in it.

this way the meaning is there and even the phase, but it isnt the focal point so nobody will make fun of u

i don't really care about haters.
most people think i'm crazy for one of my tattoos, but i love it (it's also been directly and indirectly responsible for getting me laid)

i just don't want it to be tacky looking

i'm either not gonna put it there or do something to what you said
