I hate to not workout -- I hit 5 days a week right now, just on MRI Black Powder and protein shakes...

Mon - Chest, Tues - Back, Bicep, Wed - Legs, Thur - Shoulders, tricep, Fri - Whatever I feel I needed to hit harder...usually chest, bicep...

anyway my question to you all is this -- I Know recovery is way important obviously, thats why I force myself to take sat and sunday off... but when I dont workout I wanna grill out which is ok -- til I open a beer, then another, then another, then another :) then I go out....lol.... but when I workout it focuses me on stayin healthy and keepin the bads away --

ANYWAYYYYYYY -- when I start my cycle, you think its ok to workout 7 days a week :) if I want... as long as my split is right and each muscle group gets proper rest time..................................

How many days a week do you workout while ON cycle?>

Thanks guys...

I dont have an exact schedule of when I work out.

I train 3 times a week but they could be on different days - sometimes it takes my bodyparts different periods of time to recover. Once recovered I will train it again so I could end up training chest and tris once every 4 days, 5 days or 6 days. The same goes with my other body parts.

on cycle I go everyday until I feel I am starting to wear down. Then I take a day or 2 off..start over

If I didnt have to work and pay a mortgage, then I would workout 4 days a week, twice a day on those four days. Mondays and Tuesdays, wednesday do some cardio and abs,
Thursday and Friday, Saturday do cardio and abs.
Monday would be chest and triceps in the A.M., and quads and shoulders in the late afternoon.
Tuesdays would be Bis and back in the A.M., and hamstrings, glutes and calves in the late afternoon.
wednesdays and saturdays would be dedicated to A.M. cardio for 1 hour before any food ingestion, and a major ab routine for an 1 1/2 hours.
I figure that my WO intensity would be sufficient for also working the abs, squats and deadlifts.
I would be doing HGH, slin and t-3 also for speedy recovery and growth.
I did this several years ago for awhile, did a lengthy cycle of test-e and deca first part of the year, and then a tren-a/prop cycle in the Fall. I fricking grew like crazy. This is when I was working in the hospital, nights, and had the days to myself, and was single too. I would go to the gym after work, do my routine, go home, eat, shower and sleep, wake up several hours later, eat, go back to bed, wake around 5 to 6pm, eat, shower, chill, go to the gym by 8pm, WO and be to work by 11pm. I would eat throughout the night at work when poissible.
Now I have a day job, and a complete gym in my garage, so I WO at my leisure. But back in the day, I was ripped at 220LBs, 5'9", and 3to5% BF. I would have by BF analyzed by a dexa scanner, the most accurate way of knowing what your BF is.
Now I am 12% BF, just do gh at 4iu a day, WO 3 to 4 times a week, light weights and cardio. I eat and drink sorta clean, but indulge every now and then. But for being 44YO I am doing OK. I still turn the heads of little hotties now and again. And yes, I do have an ego the size of Texas. :)
Anyway, thats what I would do.

monday- chest
tues- back
wed- rest
thurs- legs
fri- shoulders
sat- arms
sun- rest

9- 12 sets with reps 8-12 and sometimes the occasional 3-5 rep range for fun.
That worked great for my cycle. Felt great everyday without feeling tired or exhausted from the last days workout.
if you go everyday ( I did this for cutting)
mon- chest
tues-back
wed-shoulders
thurs-legs
friday- tri's
saturday-bi's
sunday- repeat

What Up Sweed? Just got back from vacation at da beach and ready to start my cylce. As a matter of fact I just give myself the first shot. I was told to overtrain during my cylce. How many times in seven days would you do say your chest or arms. Ive got the diet working, the gear in the system, now i need to get the most out of it. I ve always heard that you need rest to grow and I really need or should I say want to get 15 to 20 pounds out this Sust cycle. Ive looked at several routines or schedules but cant really nail one down.

I think it was said best to train hard til you feel your body losing some steam... Work your body parts when they are not sore anymore.... Not an exact science, but I am sure it works - with gear you get to train a lot harder than usual.. grab a product for fast recovery..

You may run into some serious injuries if you train with reckless abandon.

For example, my bench press jumped by 70 lbs (for 5 reps) in about 6 weeks and my shoulders were having a difficult time coping with such a rapid increase of poundages. Last week I started to feel a sharp pain around my left pec insertion that scared the living daylights out of me...perhaps the early signs of a pec tear.

If weights are jumping up very quickly one must be extra careful not to injure joints or tendons. A serious tear will negate all that hard work.

ANd thats why I stick to my routine haha -- VERY VERY good post, disregard my last one then HAHAHA :)

thanks -- It will keep me straight when I start my cycle...

It's all very exciting when you start a cycle and weights start sky-rocketing out of control...then the joints and tendons start screaming out for mercy.

It's very easy to overtrain when poundages go high. People often forget that heavy weights sap the body's reserves very quickly no matter how strong the person is.

im in the gym 6-7 days a week. If I feel like I need a day here and there, Il take one. Personally I don't see how 3 days is sufficient. Unless your simply trying to maintain gains. I wouldnt look so great if I were to only workout 3 days a week. I also am very busy with my job, however, I MAKE THE TIME.

Worked well enough to get Dave Henry 10th place at the last Mr. O.

Works well for a lot of people I know too...including me.

sometimes up to 8 to 10 days straight, sometimes only 5 or 6..never more than 1 day off...

Just keep going until my says "nuff" have a rest day... listen to the body and you wont go wrong

i got 4 on 1 off. i may slip an extra one one. but i have the same problem my joints get messed up bc my strength in a body part increases too fast. i had to get suregery a 1.5 years ago in my right shoulder bc of over training.

Ouch thats no good at all - I hope I never have to come across surgery from over training -- listen to your body I guess is the role of thumb

yeah sucked bad. couldnt really train for a 9 months. sucked bad. muscle memeory was good and got gains quick but i still feel it sometimes.
