Hey Mac,

YOu will not be able to descramble HBO. Reason being it isn't scrambled at all... HBO is controlled through a filter outside yur house. If you order HBO they remove filter, if you don't get HBO they put this filter in that blocks it from getting to you.

Those descrambler boxes are good for showtime,cinimax,spice,TMC, pay-per-view and the sports channel. Only way to get hbo is to pay for it..

Does your box have sound on spice?? I have a friend who has a box and his spice has NO SOUND!!! That sucks if you ask me!! I paid about 165.00 for mine and it works great.

You can get HBO by climbing the poll and hooking it up. I'm not sure what you do up there, but I had a friend up on the pole doing somehting at 3am one night.

I used to have a descrambler when cable was'nt digital.I got all the channels,hbo,showtime,max,adam and eve ,spice .It was a good investment until the cable company cracked down on my joy.
