A non-paid testimonial from a third party:
Dear Shay, I have found an all natural solution to my migraines!! I have been migraine-free since March of last year! I was introduced to OPC3 which is a powerful combination of 3 natural antioxidants--grape seed extract, pine bark extract, and red wine extract. I take it daily along with B12 and the combination has kept away the migraines that had plagued me since childhood. I have helped my sister-in-law beat her sinus headaches and a fellow teacher beat her migraines, too, with this wonder solution. I even asked my doctor about it and he has heard of this in one of his medical journals!!
Maybe worth a shot......BBBWWWWAAAUUUGGGHHHH!!!!
Hehehehehe...
um....

ok - feverfew - I think you know/have tried this b-4:
Feverfew is a common-or-garden herb which has grown unwanted in many people's gardens; but has been commercially cultivated in the British Isles and Europe during the past fifteen years. Many people who have suffered from migraine claim to have benefitted from taking Feverfew. Some have found that they don't need to take it continually - a course of up to three months duration will leave them migraine-free for long periods of time before they have to take more Feverfew
TESTIMONIAL:
I'll start by saying the important bit: After suffering for many years with migraines they have now stopped since I started taking feverfew in tablet form. Could this help other migraine sufferers as well?
Feverfew is a herb, latin name 'tanacetum parthenium', that has an anti-flammatory action. It is known to help reduce the symptons of rheumatic and arthritic problems and, more importantly to me, reduce the frequency and severity of most migraines.
The plant itself is easy to grow and has white daisy like flowers, the part used for 'medical' purposes are the leaves.
For complete self help the leaves can be picked and eaten (usually two per day). There are two problems with this:
(1) They have a very bitter taste, so are not very palatable. The leaves can be eaten between bread to mask the flavour. This does not reduce the effectiveness.
(2) The plant is herbaceous and so dies off in winter - no more leaves!
To combat these problems I take feverfew in tablet form. The brand I use is made by Herbal Laboratories and has a brand name of 'Tanacet'. (I have no financial interest, just in case you are wondering). I buy my tablets from a normal health shop.
I have been taking two 125mg tablets per day for about eighteen months and can honestly say that my migraines have virtually ceased. I have had the odd headache but nothing very serious in comparison to previously. Any migraine sufferers will appreciate what this must mean to me. No more nasty drugs and the such like. Before taking feverfew I had taken all of the usual remedies without success, including various tablets prescribed by my doctor. Nothing ever worked.
Feverfew isn't an 'instant' remedy. It takes a few weeks to get into the system. After a couple of weeks my migraines became less severe and gradually stopped.
I would add that after taking the brand mentioned for a few months I did try some cheaper feverfew tablets. Unfortunately my migraines returned. I went back to the Tanacet brand and they stopped again.
I would recommend that you try feverfew if you are a migraine sufferer. You never know, it may work for you as well. It's worth a try.
