I've always thought that the death penalty was the "easy" way out...especially against mass murderers... I would think that life in prison no possibiltiy of parole & w/ no privileges in jail would be worse.

I think they should do away with some of the nice ways of doing it-
back to hanging, firing squad, etc....

I think the death penelty is too easy. I thought about this when the little girl in Florida got killed. To just kill is not enough. But to do the same to them as they did.

For instance, the sniper, or snipers, should be let go. Let them get back to a normal routine. Then snipe him when he least expects it. Shoot him for every count or charge. 10 counts of murder...10 shots. You know, one day in he's in Starbucks ordering a latte and BAM he gets it in the belly. He can live with a belly wound for a while. He'll heal, maybe, and he's got nine more to go. Same for the animal who killed the little girl. Let him go. Let him walk in a dark alley...alone...unknowing...and one night...umph.

Or let 'em go free...or let 'em rot in a cell. But if were one of my family members as the victim...UMPH!

I'm tired of paying for people to sit in jail. The sniper deserves death. I agree with Becoming... it shouldn't be nice either.

See, with some of these crimes, they just need to allow them to circulate in the normal prison population. They have their own brand of justice there. Child molestors and such PAY for their crimes before they die...

People like this sniper should simply be shot and incinerated. Don't stretch it out, don't bother to make him suffer, just get it done as quickly, simply, and cheaply as possible. The taxpayers should not have to pay to keep men like that alive.

Prison is appropriate for thieves and petty crime stuff, but for people that kill without remorse or rape and can never fit into society, simply erase them and let society move on.

agreed....to save even more money, we should have volunteer executioners....where everyday citizens can bring their own devices, that way we don't need to pay a doc to administer a lethal injection.....people would get into it i bet. kinda like a sport.

Some cultures still abide by these rules and we (Americans) ususally refer to them as barbaric.

Go figure.

I am sure the experience is a lot different looking down the barrel of a gun than it does falling to sleep and not waking up....

this is the one part of our justic department angers me.

if you kill or hurt some part of my family... let the family in a room with him with baseball bats.

I would agree with that... if it was someone in my family they better find em before I do....

anybody live in Northern VA at the times of the shooting? I do, and it made life hell. They made every classroom in my entire Highschool shut the blinds for like two weeks, and we pretty much were not let outside...rediculous huh. Anyway I say execute the guy...
