smoking pot

i smoke ever wekend since i dont drink...my motivation has NEVER been hindered.....

In fact one guy i lift with smokes before every workout he claims it keeps him foccussed and his gains arnt suffering that I can assure you
 
Smoking once in a while dosen't decrease my motivation, however when I smoke often, like everyday my motivation does decrease. Light one up for me:p
 
i go back and forth all the time with the question of whether smoking pot decreases motivation . Ive had it decrease my motivation when i was puffing everyday( usually this occurred because I was smoking early in the day). I have had it increase my motivation when I am successfull at waiting till ive done everything productive that I need to accomplish for the day. It gives me something to look forward to all day when im busting my ass at work because the best part of my day (9am workout) is already over.
 
I always feel like working out after getting high. I only smoke like 1-3 times per week at the very most though. Guys, smoke out of a bong, much less harmful to your lungs.
 
i like smoking pot right after my workout, i dont know if there is any scientific evidence supposrting this but i would sware it makes my pump lfrom the gym last longer
 
If I get "blazed" then it decreases my motivation. If I just take a few hits then I absolutely love working out. I haven't missed a scheduled workout yet due to smoking before hand. I actually look forward to it.

Plus, afterwards, I'm hungry so it helps me to eat post workout.
 
If I smoked before I went to the gym I would never work out, because I would never make it there. I drive 2miles an hour when I am high!:insane:
 
Actually when I smoke pot, I actually get a much better workout and have better mental focus especially when I'm doing cardio. It kind of puts me in the zone. :havoc:

And what about smoking during a cycle?

I´ve heard somewhere that cannabis decreases your levels of testosterone, is this true?

So would you recomend smoking weed over drinking, im guessin yes. I could never smoke everyday, but I would like an alternative to drinking. Does it decrease muscle at all? Someone once told me that, probably wrong though.

I tottaly agree with you.
I smoke everyday (pot or haxixe) for about 3 years, fucking true,
and when I started yerlier in tha day i just couldn´t make nothing from that day but as long as I waited till night and produced something positive the sensation was great and very motivating.
Now I just wanna grow big and give up smoking :)
 
I always smoke before a workout, never missed a workout because of weed, been working out on and off for about 18 years, been making my 4:20 meetings daily for 20+ years.:havoc: Now for drinking nothing screws up my workouts more, if I'm gonna workout the next day no drinking for me, and I hit the gym 6 days a week.
 
I know 2 guys that blaze up all day every day and started lifting. They both got thick real quick. Maybe the getting the munchies helps!

Actually, smoking would be more beneficial than anything while on a cycle. Think about it, it relaxes & eases the pain which is a characteristic associated with doing a cycle. (increased weights, longer workouts, more intense workouts, more frequent workouts, etc makes the body sore).
Plus, you need to bump up the calorie, protein, etc. while cycling, so smoking will allow you to eat more of it.

That's my theory anyways.....
 
I take two hits off a bong 10 minutes before I work out. This shit sets me in the right mood and I have been gaining steadily for the past 6 months. This is the only time I ever smoke because otherwise it turns me into a vegatable.
 
Im a HUGE pot head.

I would never, however smoke before working out, because for me, it totally does kill motivation. But I do loves me a nice joint post workout and post sex. ANd yes it helps soooo much with the munchies!! :havoc:

I have on occassion workout on a bit of coke and on other occassions workout on a bit of amp. Would recommend doing TOO much of either, but if you think ECA or Clen give you a pre workout kick...well that shit will make you :leap:

Iv eonly dont that like on 3 occasions though.

weed has no effect on muscle growth, positive or negative... i know from personal experience and there has been reports(you can use the serach function) i do notice some estrogen increase when i smoke every day nonstop for a while.. the motivation thing shouldnt be a problem if you get high regulary.. fire the shit up before you train, it makes my workouts smoother and i get more protein after a workout from the munchin..:D
 
Pot will increase estrogen production, but it wont cause your Test or any other homeone to aromatize into estrogen.

I have a strong belief that it does increase estrogen, just because it almost seems as if I get titties after smoking a blunt.
 
Pot does not increase your body's production of estrogen. Rather it itself is mildly estrogenic. Either delta-9-thc or one of its cannabinoid metabolites does indeed have some estrogenic activity.

As far as the dank decreasing test levels, there really is no definative awnser, go ahead and search medline, you'll find a 50/50 ratio of studies each saying the opposite of the other. Personally I feel this effect is highly individual. I have definately seen cases of chronic smokers who some seriously low free-test levels.

Whatever you decide, please use a waterpipe, bong, vaporizer, or something else which cools down the smoke and filters out some of the tar. Research has yet to prove pot to cause lung cancer, but the lungs obviously were not designed to inhale combustible organic material.
 
Bro, smoke all you want i smoke pot every and it has never affected my gains, it's cigereetes that fuck me up.I know plenty of guys that are jacked and smoke weed all the time.I also know plenty of guys that cant est to much that smoke pot to give them an appetite.And also some of my best days in the gym where after I smoke a J, I was zoned out and just went all out.Blaze that shit up baby 420..............:D

i agree. every person reacts differently. and there are maany different strains out there. some stronger than others. i too, have a friend who smokes b4 workouts. and he claims to have greater focus and concentration.

on the other hand, i have read that pot lowers t levels. which may effect you negatively when you are in need for natural test production

Icelandic is correct about it being estrogenic in nature. I have developed slight gyno from AAS use and VERY CHRONIC pot smoking... HIgh grade at least once a day over the last 4-5 years. I use it at night most of the time for my insomnia. I haven't been on AAS in about 6 months, but the gyno got a little worse.

One indicator of it causing better and more sustained pumps can be proved scientifically. Pot works as a vasolidator, opens of the airways and bloodflow. This is why it is good for gluacoma and asthma (although double-edged sword for asthma.lol).

The best way to smoke weed (short of a vaporizer, of which I know nothing about) is to smoke a joint. The weed is the best filter of weed smoke ever (much better than water). Of course when you get down to the roach the benefits lessen considerably.

There are positive and negative studies. The pro-cannabis crowd usually latches onto the negative studies and shouts "no proof of effect." These discrepencies between studies with marajuana as smoked are still being researched. It is clear, however, that isolated THC produces a predictable decrease in LH and testosterone.

While I'm no hardcore anti-cannabis nut, I am a fitness nut. Cannabis has great potential to limit athletic potential and therefore has no place in a dedicated athletes regime in my book.

I am a POTHEAD. If you smoke a lot everyday there is no way you can smoke before going to workout because you won't be able to lift as much wieght, the energy will disappear oncew the high is gone. I always get more vascular right after I smoke, I mean right after. I know for a FACT that weed mimics estrogen because sometimes when I go all out and hit the bong from when I wake up to when I go to sleep, I get bloated as a motherfucker. My face looks like im on test. Also my chest gets HELLA puffy and pointy. If you guys want to use something to make you eat, dont just use weed.. You can still get full even when your stoned. If you take a xanax and smoke a few bowls, you will NOT GET FULL NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU EAT, AND EVERYTHING TASTE GOOD EVEN PROTIEN SHAKES AND TUNA.

Hell brotha, I dunno what kinda schwagg your smokin, but my hunger never stops when Im stoned. I'll go through a Double Western Bacon X-Large Combo Meal at Carl's and still be ready for another!!!
 
FYI I get some of the best chronic in the US, right here in fresno california. Not that far from humboldt county.
 
everybody needs 2 escape reality once and a while and everybody knows drinking is a no when juicing... so smoke up is my process and advise.
 
I smoke daily. I always puff after working out - it helps increase the appetite. I find it helps me relax. I usually spend about a half hour stretching after I go to the gym and weed puts me in the right frame of mind. A lot of people I know don't do anything when they are stoned - they get lazy. For me this is the opposite. I get more done when I have weed. I have been painting the inside of my house - without weed - I probably would have accomplished nothing.

I doubt that weed will hinder your gains. Just keep working hard and your body will respond.
 
I did not know that there was so many fellow Budzmen in the BB comunity! I love to blaze after a workout! Helps me wind down for a meal and bed. Yes, its fine to blaze on a cycle! It helps lower BP while on also!

i wait until ive accomplished everything that i need to do for the day. then its great to sit back a light up some killer buds then relax and EAT until i go to sleep. knowing that i am still getting everything done that i need to makes me enjoy smoking all that much more.
 
I just realized, Ive been smoking a ton of weed lately. And as a result have been taking an aweful lot of naps during the day. Is there any doubt why I seem to be getting bigger and stronger while getting leaner on my current cycle, despite eating so few cals?

So there, two ways weed can actually help your gains: increased appetite, more rest.
 
I wonder... if smoking weed is actually good while being on a cycle because weed does somewhat influence your estrogen levels and thus, by having more estrogen levels, the free testosterone from the 'roids increases as well.

hope someone can give me more insight on this one--- i'm not too familar with this topic--

smoke that shit. i smoke after the gym everyday, and sometimes before. it helps me focus in the gym and helps me relax after a hard workout. its not for everyone tho
