Sleep medications

What is the best sleep medication you can get by prescription?
Except for Zyrum or GHB.

I am currently on Ambion 10mg, which seems to do nothing.

Xanax works well for the, but trying to get the doc to prescribe them has become a problem.

Any suggestion?
 
I´d bump the ambien up to 20mg, Ambien works really good, since it´s a hypnotic substance, not tranquilizers like Valium or Xanax, which are quite addictive.

I actually like the sleep I get from herbal shit mixed with 5-htp better. I'm knocked out and almost piss my bed before I stumble into the bathroom at night.

GHB will always be my uncomparable friend though:D
 
Don't worry about Xyrem, you cannot get it even with a script as it is not yet approved for open sales. Personally I like good ole melatonin, its cheap, easy to get, and no addiction/dependance to worry about with it. 6mg with maybe some 5-htp and valerian root will have you sleeping like a child and give you some wicked cool dreams too.

took 20mg of ambien last night and it did not do shit.

I think I have some kind of serious sleep problem, but I dont want to depend on xanaz. I made some pot brownies the other night and they kicked my ass. Way harder than what I ever thought they would be.
 
big hit of concentrated standardized kava kava knocks me out just as well as a xanax. and both together.....nighty night! try some kava, i feel it works better than xanax actually.

If you like kava, get the authentic shit from hawaii or fiji online. It's just the roots so you have to make your own juice/tea out of it. It tastes pretty nasty but I guarantee you that it will lay you out unlike anything you can possibly be given by a doctor (with the possible exception of demerol or morphine)

i imagine so...the OTC stuff that is standardized knocks me out anyhow. so that stuff may put you in a coma. lol. :)

I've been supplementing with 5-HTP and Melatonin at night. I've had chronic insomnia for about as long as I can remember. I am SOOOOOO ready for bed now EVERY NIGHT at 11:00.

Sometimes, I think I'm going to have a bit of a problem dozing off (say if I had a late night workout), I'll kick back a couple Kava Kavas, as well.

Before retiring every night I take this, along with Zinc, Magnesium, and B complex. Also, about 5 gs of Glutamine. It's my evening stack.
 
Yeah the cool thing about melatonin is how it works to reset your body's natural clock. Airline pilots and other frequent travelers love this stuff becuase of that. If you take 3 or 6 mg around 11 o'clock not only will you be ready to sleep by midnite, you'll be sleepy that same time again tomorrow. This might be one the most effective otc compounds released in the last decade imo.
 
4-6 grams of inositol + 100 mg of 5htp knocks me right out. I've stacked it with melatonin before, but don't like how I feel the next morning. For me, the inositol + 5htp combo works better than adding melatonin or melatonin + inositol.
 
If melatonin leaves you felling groggy the next morning, you either took too much or did not get enough sleep. One thing I've noticed is if you take melatonin and don't allow your body to get aleast 8 hours of sleep, you will feel pretty shitty the next day.
 
What about Valerian? I took 3 caps (1.59g Valerian root) and within 25 minutes it knocked me on my ass.
