sled dragging Q's

after a few ill thought PM's to spatts (i really should think before i type a lot more :p hehe) ive started to get the idea of doing some sled dragging on off days now and then.

outside my house ive got a big long quite road, aswell as a reasonable steep gravel drive/firebreak to drag on. we have a wide assortment of bricks and little brothers to drag. and a big thick ass PL belt to attach the sled to.

the only thing im stuck on is the sled. those out there who drag what sort of set up do you have? just a hunk of corragated iron perhaps? just like sheet metal with folds embedded? \/\/\/\/\/ <- that sort of thing?

plus any majors do's or donts relating to this? it seems pretty straight forward but id rather ask a stupid question that make a really stupid mistake.

many thanks.

I have a sheet of 10 gauge plate steel with a post mounted on it and curved up in the front. Then just attach some rope or chain to it to drag it.

i took a big peice of 1/4'' sheet metal, bent the front up to about 30 deg. cut a piece of round stock welded it in the middle of the back to hold the plates, then i took a few pieces of flat iron and welded that on the sheet metal so you can get your fingers under the plates. then you can take a another peice of flat iron drill a hole in it, and weld it to the front to attach your harness to.
