Sinusitis tips?

Hi, I visited my doctor yesterday and we think that I probably have sinusitis. Any advice on how to get rid of it? I need to be well before Friday. Right now, I'm taking Pencilin (antibiotic) and high dose vitamin C (10g). I'm also trying to get a lot of vitamin D. Other than that I'm trying to rest as much as possible. I'm also using saltwater spray and nasal spray.

A steam bath is really good to open up your nose and sinuses. Zinc lozenges help too but you have to take tons of em'. I would only use the nasal sprays a couple times a day. Sprays tend to irritate the nasal passages if used too frequently, which will make things worse. Make sure you are taking in plenty of fluids. I get a good sinus infection about once a year and I am pretty miserable when it happens. Good luck, these infections usually take about seven to ten days to run their course.

the zpak anti biotic works well for this and if you have allergies the nasal spray flonase works wonders.

Fill a glass up with really warm water and add a good bit of salt to it. Pour some in your hands and SNORT it till it runs back down your nasal passage and into and out your mouth. Do this a few times a day rather than saltwater sprays. Doing this with your concurrent use of anti's will help greatly. As stated before, don't over do it on nasal sprays.
