Why do you say that?
Did I say that I got married for "real love" or was I ever a proponent of marrying for "real love"? As a matter of fact I am saying THE TOTAL OPPOSITE. Now that I think about it, IMHO it is actually counterproductive to committ or even look for a relationship based on "trying to find REAL LOVE" as from my vantage point that is impossible anyway.
I believe that one would be better served to look for LIKE and RESPECT as the hormones will do what they want to do regardless in many situations. The definitions of "like and respect" will vary with each individual. You may not like or respect the same characteristics in a perspective mate that I do and vice versa but that doesn't make either of our definitions less valid in our reality. Does it? Hell, you may not even like or respect the same charateristics in a mate in your 20's that you do in your 30's, etc. Goodness knows that your hormones will change! LOL
I have thoroughly enjoyed this thought-provoking exchange though. Matter of fact, I am just about to go over and edit the rough draft of a book I have completed about dating and relationships and I believe that this topic merits its own chapter. THANKS NIMBUS!!!
