Shoulder story

Dont flame me for posting this here, but this is where all the knowledge is. My shoulder is fucking pissing me off, it hurt when I used to bench, so I started rotator cuff exercises, what do you know, the pain went, I thought I was lucky. Now its back, this time when I do pullups/chins, what the fuck? Its never hurt on pullups before, but the past few weeks its gradually been getting worse, right ontop of the shoulder, just after Ive done my set, when I lower my left arm, ouch. But after Ive finished, and left the gym, no pain anymore. It does not hurt on ANYTHING else, no other exercise. Weird shit.

Anybody got any ideas what this shit is? Could my shoulder be slightly out of the socket, is that possible?

Ive been doing external rotator exericses but have not done internal. Could this have caused an imbalance.

What is a good replacement for chins (I know there isnt really one but...), what about Deadlifts.

This is really pissing me off as I was doing so well lately.

Fucking A

I had a shoulder impignment (sp) about a year ago. All I did was ice it, and do the exercise the doc showed me. I just didn't work shoulders for a long time, and went light on chest day. Hope it heals soon bro...you could try some deca.

Exactly

Thanks bigbuck,

I will have to drop chins then, which sucks major.

I just dont get how it can stop hurting on bench and then start hurting on this.

I hurt mine doing chin-ups too....It was during a competition. We had to run, then swim, then bust out 20 pull-ups. I went too fast and fucked my shit up....I tried to be hardcore and ignore the pain, and it just got worse.

Its a major pisser alright

How long did it take for it to heal?

Its not effecting other exercises YET, including shoulder exercises, also weird shit

Are you making sure to elevate your chest/add a slight arch to your back on your chins? Most don't. Doing this will help.

Also, yes, add the internal rotator exercises. Doing 5 mins of cardio (that involves upper body) prior to your back workout will help too.

And, as Buck said -- Deca.

P.S. Are you staying hydrated?
