shoulder shrugs

how badly do u want traps?

I love them. they have so many auxillary benefits as well such as grip strength.

they r the king of trap exercises though traps can get worked with upright rows.
 
Deadlifts work your traps too. I'll usually do one set to failure after dls

Supposedly Jonnie Jackson never shrugs. He was a powerlifter before bodybuilding and he has massive traps.

I do them on deads day to.

A "must"??? I dunno. Read the above. A lot of powerlifters don't do shrugs and still have big traps.
 
I get really sore traps on my shoulder day by doing clean n jerks. Not sure how a set is supposed to be performed, but what I do is start standing up with the bar in my hands, knees slightly bent, I clean up the barbell <without the squat part> and then just military press it up. I bring it back down to the starting position so every rep im working my upper back/traps + shoulders/tris.
