shoulder injury help needed

well does any one have any advice on how to recoop from a shoulder injury.seems it happened during heavy dumbell press.i cant do lateral raises,and flyes forget it the pain is to much.gp looked at it and said its just a strain go easy and it may be ok (what reasurrance) so to those who have had a shoulder injury and came back from it plz advise.oh ya when it ackes it feel like tendinitis need alot of advil to keep the pain subsided,cheers.
 
Sounds like your body might need a break, try taking a week off and do some light stretching + shoulder cuff exercises. Are you ON right now?
 
definitely take a break and do light stretches... also ice for 15 minutes several times a day
 
good advise above. if it still hurts after a week off, go see an orthopediest.
ive had shoulder operations, trying to avoid another. dont push it you will regret it

ALso don't forget NSAIDS to control the swelling.

Flax/Fish oil may help your natural healing response.

Unfortunately the only solution is rest.

You have the rest of your life to work out. A couple weeks or even a couple months makes little difference in the long run.

agree with the flax / fish oil.... careful with the NSAIDS though, as they *may* inhibit any muscle gains... plus they do a number on your stomach
