Should you block Facebook at work?

Some companies do it because it's considered an entertainment site, security hazard, or something not work-related. Other companies consider Facebook an essential part of marketing-- to network with others.

What do you think?

Myspace is pretty much blocked most places - but not fb. It gives most people a quick break and I rarely see peopel browsing facebook for hours on end - so it's rarely an issue. Besides, blocking sites is seen as kinda insulting to employees so the trend nowadays is not to do it. Not to mention, more and more people are getting 2nd montiros and have fb propped up on the 2nd monitor (esp it folks) - propping up their smart phones on desks.

I think if people get their social media fix they will be more productive and more satisfied in general. I'm all for it.

Chuckychucky, remove the spam link in your homepage on your profile. Or I'll ban your account. Your choice?
