I do. And I think you and I have talked in private regarding that issue and you understand why I get heated. You were never so disrespectful to the point that it was hurtful. Others are.

Some people find it convenient to label all muslims as terrorists and fanatics, and when I try to tell people that although there are fanatics out there, not everyone is a crazy suicide bomber, then comes the calling alcatraz: w whinning baby and a crybaby and a fanatic and then come the islamic threads with disrespectful pictures of the prophet and a bunch of peeps bashing the entire religion because of fanatics. You can look into C&C at any given time and find 1-3 threads about Islamic practices in the world and people bashing them. I'm always the only person on the other side, hence some people have established a sense of hatred towards me. It's logical to hate what you fear or don't understand, so it's all good.

But this remains a legit question. If enough people want me to leave, I'll leave.

Comments on the board in public are one thing. It is the private msgs and some things that cannot be said in public that get to me sometimes.

I have had more people wish me death before my children ever see me again then you can shake a stick at... Living without my children was painfull enough, but then to be called whore, slut, lowlife piece of shit, etc, etc, etc near EVERY SINGLE TIME I POSTED - to be laughed at and made fun of all over the freaking internet....

You have NO IDEA what that felt and STILL feels like because believe it or not, same shit just happened to me IN REAL LIFE from some dumbass who got hisself bant from elite....

I had to ask MYSELF that question on more than one occasion and if the answer was, "I don't know anymore." I simply left and didn't return for a very VERY long time. I didn't post up. I didn't go to other sites and badmouth elite. I simply LEFT.... whether anyone missed me or not is irrelevant as I WASNT HAPPY on elite anymore.

I think the worst was when I posted up a thread thinking that I had a lung clot and was finally breaking down and off to the hospital and 90% of the people who posted up (yes, some were mods) wished me DEATH....

You can't know how that hurt me. You will NEVER know as you are NOT a woman, a mother, an innocent victim of insanity - watching your children suffer knowing there isnt a fucking thing you can do to stop it - called whore/cunt/loser/bitch because of circumstances beyond your control....

We have different political views yet I have never seen disrespect come out of your mouth as I've seen much of it from people on this board. You're a good person on EF and I'd imagine you're a good person IRL as well. I've seen your tv blog btw. I could tell you're down to earth and generally a nice person.

May I be honest? As it is not my custom to show one e-face publicly then another where I *think* you won't see as is the common practise of so many others - something that I loathe and detest.

Although I can appreciate your sentiments you HAVE NO CLUE what you are talking about when you compare what is going on on EF with you now with what happened to me and is happening to me. So let us just agree to disagree on that point.

I didn't have an issue with you personally until you degraded my husband's service in Vietnam. After that I didn't read another thing you posted. Really, I am not trying to be nasty. I am being HONEST. You just faded into the background with the thousands of other posts that I never read... as there are those who never read mine.

I steered clear of all the muslim hate because a muslim man saved me from the streets in Paris and never EVER laid a hand on me though we shared a bed. I am still humbled by his act of kindness.

hopefully soon lol. i have recently passed my paramedics degree, i have just started living my adult life lol and need to get my finances in order, im having a hard time juggling rent, food shopping and bills without having to worry about plat. i want to, although i would rather just save up a bit and go for the lifetime plat, i plan on sticking around here for a while.
 
you'd probably get more honest responses in your poll if it were not public. (shrug)

I'm not sure why you care what other people want, anyway. If you get something out of being here, stay. If it takes more out of you than it gives you, leave. it should be about your own feelings, not those of others.

Did you just wake up from a coma? Alka Seltzer gets offended sometimes (not every time) when a thread concerning Islam is started. The thread is usually negative because, well, if you turn on your tv or open a newspaper, you're bound to see Muslims behaving badly. For people from the US, I'd go so far as to say Muslims are the new Russians.

The problem isn't so much the threads per se, it's Alcatraz's propensity for taking everything personally. Someone could say, "Those Muslim bastards used a suicide bomb to kill 60 people today." His response would be something like, "Well, I'm a Muslim and I don't go around blowing myself up. How dare you say such a thing! You should enroll in a diversity training class immediately you insensitive fuck!"

Then he'll get up set when someone throws out a term like "towel head." I did so yesterday and I believe I have every right to do so since 1.) I wasn't referring to Alcatraz or anyone else in particular and 2.) half of my family is FROM the middle east. Hell, once my dad asked me why I turned out geigh, my exact words were, "Must have been some lonely sand niggers on your side of the family." It was a joke. He had the intelligence to understand that. Others don't I supposed.

I don't think Alcatraz should leave the board UNLESS he's going to be offended by every unfavorable comment about Islam that's not specifically directed at him. If that's the case, I think he would be happier somewhere else. Everyone else on this board takes shit for one thing or another (being liberal, conservative, geigh, alcoholic, etc.). If you're looking for a free pass because you're Muslim, you're looking at the wrong board.

What tneds to happen is someone will start a thread referencing a news article to something happening that involves one or more muslim. People will reply with the standard "That sucks," "that religion is stupid," etc.

Alcatraz will then show up calling everyone racists and saying that now everyone on the board is bashing him personally and calling him a terrorist.

The thread then gets locked.

Tax payer funded school opens up that is obviously a Muslim school. The whole church and state thing...which is kind of a law here in the US.

According to alc, me not wanting my tax dollars to pay for a Muslim (or Christian, or Jewish, etc) school makes me a racist...even though I state in clear english that there is nothing wrong with this as long as its privately funded.

You did disrespect my husband's service in Vietnam. I read the post myself. And yes, you did earn his ire because of that because that was a personal attack. Does it make it right? Maybe not but his disdain for the muslim religion is not because of you. It was long before you.

What you don't know about me is that I have a HYUGE issue with honor killings because though I am not now nor have I ever been a muslim I was the victim of such treatment, though obviously I was NOT killed. Agreed. That's not how we do things around here. Go, or stay, but whichever you choose we've have enough drama. It's an Internet chat board, meaning that most of the insults should be regarded exactly as though they came from an anonymous twelve-year-old.

A religion that can't stand up to that is not much of a faith to build one's life around.

(Don't expect my sympathy or respect if you're the twelve-year-old engaging in the insults, either.)
