Should I Not Use my Arai Helmet When I Pratice Wheelies?

Dang, that helmet cost over $500. The reason why is that it is stronger and has more venting places than a lower priced helmets like HJC. So I was thinking why take a chance screwing up a $500 helmet when I am only popping wheelies in first gear getting up to say 40 to 65mph.

How long does it take to learn how to pop those freeway wheelies that is my goal. That rocks.

yeah, dude, good idea. Use the cheaper helmet cause you dont want to scratch your cool race replica graphics hitting the pavement at 65mph.

That's what I was thinking. I mean those graphics are cool and hjc are dot rated helmets too so they could take a 65mhp spill. I will use the arai when I am doing 170+.

Curling, that was sarcasm.

I think we can all agree that if you dish out 500$ for a helmet, which could potentially save your life, its best to wear it when something goes wrong. Why wear a second-rate helmet, esspecially since there will be thousands of $ damage to your bike, who cares about a few hundred dollart loss on a fucked helmet? Anway, just get the previous years' models of an aria or shoei for half price here : motoxoutlet.com

Thanks for the link and your concern but I wouldn't worry because I have been told I am hard headed.

Trust me when I say this: Don't bother.

After you pay for replacing the seat and rear fairing once, you'll either be cured of it or you will when you wake in the street with a 4 hundred pound bike on top of you.

Did the bike land on you? How fast were you going? The way I was going to pratice was being on the safe side doing little wheelies until I find the sweet spot and then keeping my foot on the back brake when I feel it going over.

I used to do wheelies when I was much much younger. My bike never landed on me, but my buddies bike fell on me while I was riding next to him while he was doing wheelies, it hurts and burns.

After fucking my fairing up half a dozen times, I stopped doing them.

OK I'm really starting to worry. Just how long does a mid-life crisis last? Is this going to happen to me?
