Should I get this Plasma TV?

DLP is used in a lot of movie theaters these days.
 
I'd wait for Panasonic's next generation of plasmas coming out in April. Much better native resolution, and a game/pc mode (first time you can do such things on a plama without damaging it).
 
1080 p is an entirely different set than a 1080 i
The 1080 p uses hundreds if microprocesseors with a tiny mirror to reflect light, this is perfect for gameing since reflective light doesn't burn the screen,so it's perfect for video games,as far as the 1080 i ,the comparrision. would have to be made with the 2 sets side by side to defind the differences but i havn't seen the two side by side i am leaning to the 1080p for that slight 3D effect.

it's kinda hard in stores, cuz they rarely put a blue ray player on a tvp next to a blu ray player on a tvi. i've never seen it.

I'm not planning on playing games...just movies. I love my movies, especially the Blu-Rays.

Yup. Vizio makes a really solid product for a lower price. I think the only thing they've said comes up a little short is the sound quality, but if you have a theater kind of setup it make it a non-issue.
 
brandsmart 50 inch plasma 1080i 800 bucks haier have 2 they work great great picture
