The threads they close, lock, delete, move or edit.

Really at least then the wrong mods would not get accused like for example Ryan H and Shrebly getting accused of shit everytime.

It would be out in the open and the mods would get alot more respect I would think.

It will probably get locked or deleted if there are alot of #1 and #3 's so whats the point.

I am not trying to call out anyone here really. But I think instead of having mods accused of stuff they did or didn't do it would be out in the open.

That and a couple of them who dont know what the hell they are doing in alot of people's opinions would think twice and have more diplomacy before touching a thread.

I definately think they should. I've never had any problems with a mod on here. I don't believe I've ever had a post deleted, edited, or even moved. I do think that we should know which mod is responsible for the changes and for what reason. They should send a PM or email to the people whose post/thread has been moderated and the reason for doing so, at the very least. It'd help clear up a lot of things.

It wouldn't bother me.

Thats good because only a good moderator would have the guts to let themselves be out in the open when they touch a thread.

And lets consider one other thing. My montage to Plifter thread started because he was harrasing a female moderator woth some very unflattering remarks about her, her family and current personal situation.

All my plifter insults start out because he goes after a different person each week, and he always gets his ass spanked by alot of members here for it.

Next week he will go after someone else and I will be waiting for him.

I agree with that 100%. In fact about a week ago I had a thread moved and the mod who did it was kind enough to let me know via pm. And that mod gets some unecessary shit throw at em all the time.

Thats respect for us whether the mod agrees or disagrees with the thread.

If you think something was locked or closed incorrectly, ask me, and I can open it, restore it, and find out who did it.

I think most of the mods are pretty good about informing people about moving/deleting/locking threads. But I thing there's a difference between a mod disagreeing with a thread and deeming a thread inappropriate. If RyanH messed with every thread he disagreed with, you might as well dump the Chat board altogether.

But I agree with Milhouse overall. I think it's a common courtesy.

I think most will tell you, if they close a thread.

I also think some people start threads, just to see if someone
will lock it.

I will always take credit for any posts that I have edited and I believe any other mods should do the same. It's a courteousy.

In a perfect internet world, yes.

Here, it seems that nobody takes credit for their deletions/locks etc...

Like my perfectly harmless thread celebrating the slaughter of Arabs. Good clean fun, but someone couldn't take it.

Oppression, I says.

I call for affirmative action, or some sedatives that I can inject into my forehead.

Thank you George, but the moderator who locked it admitted it in another thread. And even though I disagree with him 100% for doing this I respect the fact that he said it was him.

By the way I am not so much mad about the thread being locked as much as the fact that it was locked 2 days after it was started and 90% of the BS that was spewed was put on there in the first few hours.

Some people thought the thread was funny and some didn't and thats fine.
But if someone like plifter is going to call a women a "cunt rag" and stuff like that well he deserves what he gets back.

Slayer if I can inject direct into my balls, you can hold the 14g to your forehead and head butt the wall. The 14g will be strong enough, but will you ?.

Here's the pic again.

Oh, as regards the subject. It's probably a good idea to have some public accountablity, but the MOD's come under enough stick from some guy's here so overall I don't think it would serve a purpose. Most are straight up guy's and will own up to their actions.

bouncer,

I try to avoid scrotum injuries if possible. Banging my head against a wall is a good idea; one that I have used many a time during the late 1980's.

Whatever time it is in Ireland, have a good day/evening/night.

Talk to you later, my friend.

There is no reason why it shouldn't be posted on who move-deleted etc. Unless George and mods do in fact have something to hide. If they don't, then do it----I mean the karma thing is fine but really, most people would rather see who is moving things, deleting things. And to all the mods who say they have nothing to hide, then push for it to be public and show that you have nothing to hide.

The MOD stuff is the worst thing to happen to this board.

The choice of mod should be determined by a lot things.....least of which should be public nomination, number of post, etc......to many jokers messin with the deck for a clean draw.

This is apparent by the last crop and the total BS that has resulted.

I like the idea. Also a reason should be given for the edit or lock and if the vast majority of members doesn't like it then the mod should be taken out and anal savaged! Either way someone is gettng butt fucked!
