there is a place for short cycles. the only cycle i have done was 3 weeks. tren75, prop100, var40 ed. went from 194 to 211 and have settled off at a weight that varies between 200-202. i've been off for a month and can start another soon if i choose. short is good, you spend more time off than on, you recover very fast, and you don't put on 25 pounds in one stretch. that is too noticable for alot of people and don't believe that you can keep it all because if you could, every person would do one long cycle and then be done. most you see do cycle after cycle after cycle. with a short cycle you are off more than you are on and recovering faster. you look great and stay bigger than you would be if you didn't use. now if you want to compete or be like a pro or something, then i would think that longer cycles are better. if you want to be a monster, then do not listen to me. if you just want to have a great body, one that is more aesthetic and muscular than 99% of the men around you, you can get that with short cycles.
i am not against the monster sized guys here, i think the time and work they put into their physiques is amazing. i know the hard work it takes and am in no way diss'ing their cycles. we all just have different goals.
