Tell them the truth. If I were your parent, on top of being angry I'd be outraged you thought I'd fall for any of them above excuses. Printer cartridges are not filled with an IM syringe.

I think if you lie you will only make matters worse. Your parents may be angry for a time, but they aren't going to call the cops on their son.

Also, if you try some lame excuse, they're likely to assume you're shooting speed or heroin.

I would have to agree with Beezers and the others who say tell the truth. You are a 22 yr. old man and should be able to make decisions regarding your life at this point. You could try giving them some info to read about. The worst they will do is throw your ass out, where you should probably be anyway.
