If you read this month's issue of GQ, there's an article in it by a guy who I sent a copy of my book awhile back, and who drops me an e-mail every so often to ask steroid-related questions for articles (Nate Penn). In it, he says it's his opinion that Shawn didn't take anything...I dunno, maybe it's because I know the author of the article and respect his opinion...but I believe him.

Jesus Christ. Yeah Shawne Merriman is clean, just like Barry Bonds, Giambi, and McGuire. Oh yeah and OJ didnt do it either. When money is involved (like protecting the reputation of an all pro athlete) I wouldn't believe anyone who told me the opposite of what my eyes can see and my brain tells me is obvious. Even if he wasnt on during the season (like using NPP or tren ace), he probably took deca at some point to test positive. Not for anything but he shrunk like an 80 year old man's dick between the time he tested positive and the next game he played. I saw an interview where he was wearing a wife beater and he it was painfully obvious how rapidly he deflated.
That being said, I still think he'd be an all pro without juice, easily. He is a natural talent that's for sure, but if you're in the NFL in a position like that and NOT using steroids/GH, then you're a moron. Roids won't make you an all pro, but they'll make an all pro talent that much better.

All the reports said "nandralone", which means deca, NPP, or any type of tren. I dont believe he'd be stupid enough to run deca during the season, and tren seems like a much more advantageous chemical to use during the season. Lots of aggression and strength and clears the system fast (at least acetate does.)

They also wouldn't say that in clear english over SportsCenter if it weren't true......I'll take ESPN's word over a GQ writer any day when it comes to sports gossip. Merriman received a fine and a 4 game suspension.

I think he did juice. not sure what he was using though. i think had to be npp. tren would be great for the agression, but not so much for the endurance needed to run sideline to sideline play after play. who knows besides him and his source...he's a fuckin beast regardless and 85% of the NFL juices any damn ways. we juice they juice, whats the fuckin big deal? cuz kids watch? kids also watch tank johnson in the god damn super bowl after getting popped on gun charges. whats worse, some dude having illegal weapons or a dude who shoots roids to be better at his job? Ray lewis went on trial for fucking murder and kids still wear his jersey. Mike Vick is to fuckin dumb to hide his weed habit and millions of kids love him. at least merriman's habit is productive.

alright check this out, did you guys watch the pro bowl? A lot of people don't watch it, but if you did, they interviewed players on him. They stated, " we all know he made a mistake, but we've all put that behind us and he has also, he knew what he did and he knows it was a mistake" coming from other players, I gotta believe that he did take something to test postitive. Players know other players... and they dont hide that from other players I dont belive. I believe a lot of players on the chargers are on... LT is a beast, plust it must not be that hard to beat a test... wasn't David Boston beatings all them test for a grip until he got caught... if you slip up, you'll get caught. If you know your shit... you won't.. simple as that

I met him 2 weeks ago at a bar in Diego. Im gonna say this; I have met many pro athletes, almost all the piston players, Rip many times very nice guy. I have met a few lion players Barry sanders, Mike Williams, Kevin jones. But believe it or not Shawn is one of the coolest and nicest of all them. Rip"Richard Hamilton" is a great guy. But i did not expect shawn to be such a cool guy. I was on vacation and we had gone to a bar hes always at. I was wasted so i went up said was up, we shook hands talked for a minute. Later at the end of the night, keep in mind im fuckin hammered by now and its no secret. I approach him outside after 2 am and some ugly chic is all up in his grill so i went up and told him to do the lights out dance, he just laughed and we talked for about 5 mins trashing my lions. He carried him self that night like he was one of the guys, not some dick head pro that wont even acknowledge his fans. After meeting him he definetly is now my second favorite Nfl player behind my boy T.O.

Just goes to show us juicers are cool, no matter how big and famous I get....jk. I'm an ex-detroiter and I have run into Barry Sanders and Rodman before he went totally nuts, at the tittie bars by Metro airport. They were great guys. i live in san diego and run across those guys all the time, some kick it at jr seaus restaurant, i live about two miles from the club office/ practice facility, took my kids football team their in the summer to watch practices, they are cooler than shit especially LT. Even that cat Foley, the LB that got shot, i wonder if he was juicin when he got popped?
