Shawn Hornbeck kidnapping

Shawn Hornbeck is the 15yr. old kid who was recently found after 4 years of his disappearance.

I just don't understand how this happens! He didn't run away, or bang on a wall, or yell. He was in an apartment! Nobody saw this kid???

He has a bunch of body piercings and shit now too.....

This whole thing does not make much sense to me. I'm anxious to see how this story develops....

I know a young girl who was sexually abused at 8 years old. Her best friend, her sister & brother were all abused by the same guy. The story took 10 years to come out. The guy told them he would rape & kill their mothers & siblings if they said a word to anyone.

I agree.Most abusers threaten and frighten these kids into believing that they will harm not only them but their loved ones. They figure if it can happen once (kidnapping) it can happen again. Run home and then the kidnapper will come again type of thing...So I believe it is a true story. I also believe that this young boy was abused in more ways than 1 seeings how he has not spoken about it, leads me to believe he is ashamed and hurt.

As I get older & find out how many people aorund me have been hurt, abused, & raped, it makes me less & less tolerant of these abusers rights. Personally, I thinkthey should die. Plain & simple. And these these people that say they abuse because they were abused, doesn't wash with me. I KNOW it can be overcome, through therapy & willpower.

I fully agree. More and more people are coming out talking than they did back in the day. Seems as though back 10 years ago not many people were abused. Now in the 2000's we have abuse on a daily basis. Murder,rape, sexual abuse, child porn in adults, etc. It is a sick world and I fear for my kids, most of all I fear for myself due to the first time any one ever tries any thing on my kids I will be on death row for killing the S-O-B. I am sorry but I am sick to death of seeing people do all this nasty stuff then walk away with 10 year mental institution sentences instead of what they truly deserve. Now I am not a huge fan of death penalty, however you rape a child or molest a child and you basically kill them. They will forever live their lives carrying this shame around! While the perp is in a home drawing pictures of trees, taking meds they dont need, and sleeping at night without a thought of the victim on their minds. Honestly I think screw the whole temp insanity plea. Make them go to a high security prison where they have to live life as if they were in hell, where other inmates beat the shit out of them inside and out....Abusers deserve nothing in this life, not a damned thing!
This whole subject heats me to a boil point. My heart aches for all of these people mostly for the children that have to live life remembering what happened and knowing that they were violated in a way that no person should ever be.That alone is far worse than mental institution could ever be!

That I am thankful for. Some times it is good to be an overprotective parent. I know I am one. I wont even leave my kids with a sitter. For 5 years the only person that was allowed to watch my kids was needto mom and needto sister. Still to this day I dont like sitters..You can never trust people!!!
