Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below From what I read, Nizoral is a MILD antiandrogen. Tren is extremely androgenic, so it's no surprise that it won't do anything for it. The hair would probably still fall out if you use Propecia with Tren. The strong topical antiandrogen is Spironolactone. When it all comes down to it, Finasteride/Propecia is the most effective cause it's systemic.

My wife owns a hair salon and I can tell you that Nioxin does in fact work for some people. Now her average client is not on steroids so you would have to take that into account. 
It's not going to stop someone from going bald but it can I think help you keep it a little longer. She sells a fair amount of it to her "middle aged" male clients. I hope it keeps working for them since once they lose it...they are no longer clients!
