Shake Or Bar??? --- KIAN!

I gained weight :) Thanks Kian

I'm kind of sick of shakes every night and I'm wondering if I can substitute my shake for a bar once in a while? They both have around 25g of protein and its way easier for me to have, and I was just wondering what you thought
 
As low as its low on bad sugars and have good carbohydrates in it. I think it'd be okay to have a protein bar here and there.
 
hmm what is the best type of protein bars out there?

I got some from costco with 31 g protein each but they are like 280 calories, and 8g of fat 5 of that being saturated. Sodium is also 300mg and carbs 19g

It's def a personal choice based on cost, taste, etc...but I prefer the MetRx bars (either Protein Plus or Big 100) but they are costly; however, I try not to skimp on supps as I've found it's one area where you truly get what you pay for. i agree with pong. if your sick of shakes eat some food with some cassein in it. i have a shake about once per week and the other days i have 3/4 cup 2%cottage cheese, 12oz skim milk, 1 tbs of natty pb. I'm goin to start adding a scoop of chocolate muscle milk to my milk. stuff tastes like chocolate milk.

I think it is better to do the cottage cheese thing, not only do you save allot on the over priced bars but you also consume more of casein which is digestied slower than whey, actually whey is digested in about half an hour or so (please correct me if i am wrong) whilst casein will last you through the night (digested 7 hours).
