i posted several weeks complaining that my major lifts had stalled in week 7 and thanks to peoples advice i tracked back a few weeks, started eating more and now my squat and deadlift are progressing nicely again. unfortunately my bench and bent over row have stopped in the same place (77.5kg and 67.5kg respectively, (i weigh 80kgs now). any advice on how i can break this plateau?

How long you been lifting ? how long on single factor ? how many weeks did it take for you to work up to your current maxes ? how big are the weight jumps from week to week. For example do you add 2.5 kilo a week to bench/rows ?

been lifting about 6 months, 11 weeks on single factor, hit original maxes in week 5, then hit what are now my maxes in week 6, then failed on week 7, back tracked 4 weeks but failed again at the same weight. yes 2.5 kilo a week.

Try smaller increases. I increased bench and rows by 1kg/1.5kg per week and found that hard, but I managed to do it for several weeks. You might be able to add 2.5kg to your squat and dead, because they're using bigger muscle groups.

This is what i was going to suggest if you said yes to adding 2.5 kilos :)
go back a few weeks and ramp up again, once u get within a 2.5 kilo range of your current 5 rep max for rows and bench start making weekly increments of 1 or 1.5 kg like butters said. It will be frustrating but worth it in the long run.
If you stall after doing this then you should start dual factor.

ok thanks for advice, ill have to get hold of some smaller plates, my gym doesnt have smaller than 1.25 kgs!
